My wife and I ate at El Portal Friday night and this was our first time here. Great reception and we were immediately seated in the outdoor patio. Marciahis were playing and going from table to table for requests. This was a very pleasant surprise. Overall, good food and prices. We also enjoyed different margaritas and they were all delicious. Their staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. We will return.
Dining out on the patio, in the shade, in a secluded niche between busy Colorado Blvd and Green Street in Pasadena was a real treat. The restaurant was busy enough, but pleasantly quiet under large shade umbrellas on the brick patio.\nOur service was excellent; prompt, friendly, accurate. We were two couples for lunch. The parking off Green St. was great (no charge). The food was definitely better than the usual “tacos, beans & rice” served at most Mexican restaurants. The service was great and it has a nice interior.
