Always a great choice when you're in Studio City. A tavern feel indeed from the second you step in. Wood covers floor to ceiling all washed in a warm light. The seats at the bar are usually taken up, but it's because it just has a feel good, neighborhood hang vibe. Menus are all over the walls, listing food, a decently sized beer list, and some wine/cocktails. It might take a minute to get your order in; it's "order at the bar only", so be patient with the bartenders as they juggle their multiple job assignments. We always seem to order from the small plates menu, just so we get a little bit of everything. Fried chicken sliders, chorizo sliders, Brussels sprouts, and pork belly skewers are our regular go-to's. Grab a table inside or post up outside on the "patio"; the empty lot next to the building has been converted to an open air hang, complete with picnic tables, heaters if it's cold, lots of hanging greenery, and even an Air Stream trailer (where you can order drinks depending on the season). Find street parking or valet for $10.

Went to this spot to catch up with a friend and loveddddd it. It made me wish I lived locally because we walked to it from her place and there was so much space on the patio to hangout and grab some beers and yummy burgers! The servers checked in on us multiple times which was nice even with how busy they were! Fun spot for a group hang or to bring card games to!

Laurel Tavern is just one of those places that never fails to deliver. It can get crazy there on the weekend nights so plan accordingly. You order at the bar and then go find a table and sometimes on a Fri or sat night it can take a while so know you just have to be patient. Or maybe wait to order at the bar (food) until you secure a table. We have been where we panicked because we ordered - and we still hadn't found a table - and our food was being brought out. Honestly haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't love. Our "go-to" items are the soft pretzel. beet and burrata salad. spinach dip. smoked salmon. veggie melt and also grilled cheese with Tom soup. and their burgers are all amazing! service is always fantastic. Vibes are always immaculate. Prices are what you would expect. Can't call it expensive but it's also not what I would call "cheap eats" but I promise it's all worth it and you get what you pay for. Bar staff is always slammed but they are usually rlly kind and very helpful. Just be patient with them on weekends. Outside sitting area is huge. Inside seating is pretty good too. You really can't go wrong here with anything. Truly.

What a beautiful bar. I Loved the ambiance in this place. Reminded me of a few spot back home in Florida. It was recommended by an older this morning while I was having breakfast across the street at Jumpin Java. She said they served really good food and drinks. So we decided to give ot try. The service was good place was pretty busy. The food menu had a little of of everything. I went with the laurel burger and added a slice of tomato. I just like my burgers with tomato in it. It was yummy. I also ordered the ceviche. If you know me, you know I am a ceviche enthusiast. I love it ! So I couldn't help my self to see what type of ceviche was happening over here on Ventura. I'm not big on corn in my ceviche but it definitely was fire. They have a great recipe. I'd definitely return for some more. The cocktails were made to perfection. This looks like a really cool place for happy hour which I plan on swinging by one of these days. Loved the tunes and great vibes at Laurels. You should definitely stop by and check it out!

Fun times with the youngsters at this happening spot! Busy, but well staffed, orders were taken quickly and food came out fast. Loved it all!

I really enjoyed my first time at Laurel Tavern this past week! I have heard about this place for years and never had a reason to go until now. We had a large group of people getting together from all different parts of the city and decided this was a good central spot to meet. A coworker contacted the venue about a week before and they were kind enough to reserve both a table inside in case it rained and one for us on the outdoor patio, which was our preference. This is a great tip to know if you have a group coming, they seemed more than happy to accommodate any way they could. The location is smack in the center of all the hustle and bustle of Studio City on Ventura Blvd. Because I knew I would be drinking, I did not drive so therefore I cannot speak for how easy parking is around that area. But I have been over there to go to restaurants and for events before and never had a problem parking on the nearby streets. There is both an indoor and an outdoor bar. The outdoor bar is so cute and set up in a mini trailer with plenty of seating all around. It was definitely busy when we were there on a Thursday night. And although the bartender was going as quickly as she could, because of the complexity of the drinks, it seemed to take quite a while to get our libations. She was super friendly though, as was everyone who came over to help us out. Unlike the drinks, the food came out quickly and for the most part was all pretty delicious. We ordered just about every appetizer they had on the menu to see what we would like. Some of the standouts were definitely the queso with tortilla chips, rosemary nuts, fried chicken sliders, edamame hummus and chili lime edamame. Overall if you are looking for a casual spot without pretension then Laurel Tavern is a solid choice. I appreciated the relaxed vibe that seemed almost like a beer garden where everyone was enjoying themselves. I will definitely be returning and would recommend this place as a spot to bring out-of-towners who want a glimpse into the scene in Studio City!

This place had solid beers, but the cocktails are next level, always solid on cocktails. Service is great and staff is super nice. I'll be coming back for sure

Service was great, the food and drinks were solidly middle of the road. Great outdoor space, but there's definitely a high pitched whine coming from somewhere. Can't recommend.

Seems like a popular local bar. It's always busy. Sometimes a bit difficult to find a table. There is also a nice outside area. The drinks are clever and tasty. The food is good bar food. Fish tacos, burgers, and French dip have been good in the past. Difficult parking but worth the walk.
