It's kind of pricey, but I suppose the area speaks for itself. $50 for 2 drinks & an appetizer.Relaxed ambiance with a bit of a chill 1960's type of vibe. Bar area is small but well stocked. There's intimate seating inside with vintage couches & kitschy decor, or if you prefer dining in a private booth. There's also a patio for outdoor fare alongside Ventura Blvd.Overall, it was a nice place with good food & an extremely accommodating staff. The only reason for giving 4 stars for service was that it wasn't busy, but it still took a long time to get my drink after ordering. Otherwise tge bartender was top notch!

I really do love the food here and the service is top tier. They have an excellent selection to pick from and their prices are reasonable too.

We love Mister O's They have something for everyone and we are a group of veggie, and meat eaters. Nice wine selection. We say outside whaich was cool and much easier to talk. I hope they keep the outside option going!

The food is very good. You cannot be disappointed. They really push their cocktails and say that is their main thing, so it felt a little weird to ask for wine or beer. I understand their wanting to promote their drinks (the yellow curry one is amazeballz), but their nightly music and their food are just as great and promising as their specialty cocktails. Monday nights are punk rock night! Service is great. The layout of the venue is weird with a velvet rope dividing the bathroom from the kitchen door. Presumably, they had a few collisions between servers and patrons. Initially, we were offered a table pushed up to the wall next to the kitchen door and in the line of bathroom guests. Not a good table. We refused and asked to wait for another table. They immediately accomodated us...and in a super nice way. I imagine they could not afford to do full construction from Take A Bao's layout, so the space does not flow the way the owner probably wishes it did. Hopefully, they will do great and get enough dough to knock a wall down to open it up. Despite the layout, great effort was made to create a groovy vibe and I think they mostly succeed...minus that kitchen/bathroom-velvet-rope-table-oddity. I went there on a Monday night and listened to their punk rock and hung with a friend in their main/lounge area. The staff were so friendly, attentive, thoughtful....The next week, I invited friends to try them for dinner. We all enjoyed our meals and time there! Good luck guys, I hope the very best for you and will be sure to visit often!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Mr. O's last night. The service was attentive and friendly, and food was delicious. Between the 4 of us we had calamari, hanger steak, Cobb salad, salmon, pasta Bolognese, chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. And booze. All of us - a picky kid, a pescaterian, one with food allergies, and a "normal" person who eats everything - were very happy with our food. I loved that our dog was welcomed to join us for dinner as well (we ate outside) and there was really nice music playing in the background. Some potted trees or plants - or even patio umbrellas - would make the outside area look more attractive but everything else was so perfect that we didn't even mind the lack of ambiance much. (Hubby used the restroom and reported back that inside looks beautiful.) We'll definitely be back to Mister O's.

Cool Vibes and great service. Food was good value but nothing exceptional. The big bonus is live music, or DJ. Also has outdoor dining.

It's fine...3⭐'s might be a bit harsh. I was just incredibly disappointed by the drinks, and then the food left a lot to be desired as well, and the service was just "fine".I got seated immediately, and had high hopes for some cocktails (since everything I saw online talked about how great they were). The first irritation (which, granted, was small, but they built over time) was that I had to use the online menu to see what they had, and only after I ordered did they bring me a physical menu. The second irritation (and tbh is more of a red-flag) was that when asked about substitutions of certain liquors in their cocktails (since my date has allergies to some whiskey) I was told that EVERYTHING IS BATCHED! Your big claim to fame is cocktails! What do you mean "everything is batched"? I mean, I get it. You're busy, you don't want people to wait forever for a cocktail...I get it. But if someone comes in and asks for a substitution due to an allergy, I think the bartender should be able to make a SINGULAR bloody cocktail from scratch. When my date chose to get a Dirty Martini instead, they brought it with a twist rather than olives. When it comes to the drinks that ARE on the menu, I can only assume they were designed by spinning a bunch of wheels for base, mixer, garnish, etc. "Oh look! This one's going to have mushroom in it! Can't wait to taste mushroom alcohol." The food portions are ridiculous as well, I ordered the Burrata and was given a ton of bread, and almost no cheese. The only thing I can say as a positive is that the food arrives VERY quickly. I can only assume that they run the kitchen the same way they run the bar, so my guess is that the Burrata I got had been made several hours ago and simply had some bread thrown on it before it came out to me.In short, I get the distinct impression that this restaurant exists as a tourist trap for curious out-of-towners who think that "weird and quick" is the same thing as "good" when you're in LA. Pre-made drinks and food, designed to entice your curiosity rather than offering a legitimately good drink or meal. From what I understand, the restaurant was taken over by the son of the original "Mr O"...I can only assume he's incredibly disappointed.

Enjoyed our meal outside , great summer night. Food was outstanding, we had the bolognese, Adobe chicken, bulgogi skewers and the chicken taquitos. Everything was delicious! We ordered all the desserts and they were amazing! They were decadent and perfectly sweet. Service was excellent. The servers and the manager really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The drinks we perfectly crafted and had the right amount of kick to them. We'll be back for sure!

We enjoyed our dinner at Mister O's very much from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. From the hostess to the servers to the manager, they all were friendly and attentive. And we were very pleased with our food, it came out quickly and was delicious. We had the seabass and the salmon, both very good. And I enjoyed a cocktail while my partner who doesn't drink was able to enjoy an non-alcoholic beer. We will certainly return and highly recommend!

We visited Mister O's during a trip to LA in July. The hostess and staff were very welcoming. I ordered their poke bowl and it was delicious! If I lived in LA it would be one my regular dinner spots.

Stopped in for a quick meal before seeing a show at the Pantages. Our server was exceptionally accommodating and pleasant. Sat on the patio near the sidewalk. The wall was high enough for privacy yet we had a wonderful outdoor air experience. The food is always great here. Had to have the Bolognese pasta and their veggie salad. Top notch. In and out fast. Never disappointed here.
