My friends and I are devastated that the owners are closing this restaurant. The food is delicious and original, the staff is absolutely delightful and professional, and the location is excellent. During the pandemic, they wisely closed their parking lot and turned it into a big, outdoor dining patio that was always full. Why in the world would you shutter such a unique, welcoming and popular restaurant???

Second time at Mister O's and it is PHENOMENAL! A menu with super yummy nibbles and amazingly friendly servers (looking at you Mia!) this place is quickly becoming a local fav. It has a retro vibe in terms of decor and getting a reservation is easy. Trust me... give it a try!! (You are welcome!!)

It's kind of pricey, but I suppose the area speaks for itself. $50 for 2 drinks & an appetizer.Relaxed ambiance with a bit of a chill 1960's type of vibe. Bar area is small but well stocked. There's intimate seating inside with vintage couches & kitschy decor, or if you prefer dining in a private booth. There's also a patio for outdoor fare alongside Ventura Blvd.Overall, it was a nice place with good food & an extremely accommodating staff. The only reason for giving 4 stars for service was that it wasn't busy, but it still took a long time to get my drink after ordering. Otherwise tge bartender was top notch!

First went to Mister O's in December 2018. Decor was great, food was good but little more. This week, a long-time friend from Studio City returned from Connecticut and wanted to dine on Ventura Boulevard. My memory of the decor here led me to suggest going to Mister O's, despite that the food was little more than average. I don't know what happened between then and now--other than Covid--but we had one of the best meals we have ever had in Los Angeles. It started with the waitperson, Mia, who was totally charming and without a scintilla of effort. She welcomed us as if we were her long-lost friends. We ordered drinks, brussel sprouts, flatbread, chinese chicken salad, and a fried chicken burger. Each of these were the best we have ever had, anywhere. Mia came to check on us often, not to interrupt, not to sell another round of drinks, not to work the tip. The manager came and checked on us and when we told him how fantastic everything was, he was genuinely thrilled to hear this. Nothing--nothing--seemed fake; he was especially happy to hear how wonderful we found Mia to be. This was without a doubt the best meal I've had in Los Angeles in the past ten years. The drinks were phenomenal, the food sublime, Mia better than a combination of all of it. If you don't have a good meal and experience here, then you should've stayed home that night, because this is what dining out should be!

We love Mister O's They have something for everyone and we are a group of veggie, and meat eaters. Nice wine selection. We say outside whaich was cool and much easier to talk. I hope they keep the outside option going!

The food is very good. You cannot be disappointed. They really push their cocktails and say that is their main thing, so it felt a little weird to ask for wine or beer. I understand their wanting to promote their drinks (the yellow curry one is amazeballz), but their nightly music and their food are just as great and promising as their specialty cocktails. Monday nights are punk rock night! Service is great. The layout of the venue is weird with a velvet rope dividing the bathroom from the kitchen door. Presumably, they had a few collisions between servers and patrons. Initially, we were offered a table pushed up to the wall next to the kitchen door and in the line of bathroom guests. Not a good table. We refused and asked to wait for another table. They immediately accomodated us...and in a super nice way. I imagine they could not afford to do full construction from Take A Bao's layout, so the space does not flow the way the owner probably wishes it did. Hopefully, they will do great and get enough dough to knock a wall down to open it up. Despite the layout, great effort was made to create a groovy vibe and I think they mostly succeed...minus that kitchen/bathroom-velvet-rope-table-oddity. I went there on a Monday night and listened to their punk rock and hung with a friend in their main/lounge area. The staff were so friendly, attentive, thoughtful....The next week, I invited friends to try them for dinner. We all enjoyed our meals and time there! Good luck guys, I hope the very best for you and will be sure to visit often!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Mr. O's last night. The service was attentive and friendly, and food was delicious. Between the 4 of us we had calamari, hanger steak, Cobb salad, salmon, pasta Bolognese, chocolate chip cookie and a brownie. And booze. All of us - a picky kid, a pescaterian, one with food allergies, and a "normal" person who eats everything - were very happy with our food. I loved that our dog was welcomed to join us for dinner as well (we ate outside) and there was really nice music playing in the background. Some potted trees or plants - or even patio umbrellas - would make the outside area look more attractive but everything else was so perfect that we didn't even mind the lack of ambiance much. (Hubby used the restroom and reported back that inside looks beautiful.) We'll definitely be back to Mister O's.
