This place, I took a glimpse of a wild snapper pic and asked them if it was available for the day. They said yes, quite fresh.

Sattdown Jamaican Grill was SO FREAKIN GOOD! 🤤🔥 It’s like a mini restaurant and mini Jamaican grocery store in one. They’ve got so much stuff, and you can tell the food is cooked with love. I got the delectable Jerk BBQ Chicken plate with extra veggies & a lil plantain—so flavorful! This is such a dope place! The service was wonderful (I'm sorry I didn't get the name of the girl in the front she was so sweet) and the food was truly amazing!!! We're vegan and made the drive down here to get some of their vegan oxtail plates! It came with rice n peas, plantain and vegetables and the 'oxtail' was soo good. I appreciate vegan options that aren't made of just straight up soy. Flavor was on point and the sauce was so good 😩 It's hella cute inside and they have a bunch of great drinks to purchase there along with sauces, marinades, wellness products and other tings; it's like a whole little store. I'll definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone I know 🙏🏽🖤💛💚

So coming here I was nervous because I had tried jerk chicken before from another spot and it was a crime against my tastebuds. I wanted to give jerk chicken another try so I came here upon recommendation.

Parking is an absolute nightmare. Be prepared for that. It's got a quaint and small interior and I mean both. Part of the area is reserved for Jamaican groceries which is kind of cool.

The meal came with sauteed veggies, rice, 3 fried plantains, and jerk chicken.

The veggies were nice and properly salted. The rice was very flavorful and cooked well. The plantains seemed like they were a bit overcooked because they were slightly dry. Still a nice and sweet addition!

The chicken though, that was...delicious. It did't disappoint on the spice level. I would have preferred a bit more, but I still felt it. The chicken was moist, and every bite was packed with that flavor.

I'm no connosieur, but I think their food was excellent and I highly recommend everyone go there. If you can manage to survive the parking that is.

Jamaican cuisine in the Valley. Beats driving to Ladera. A few options of beef patties, decent. Hit the spot. This restaurant is fast casual and also has plenty of shelf stable goods for sale and sea moss.
