I love this place so much! It's consistently great food and service and I love it more each time I go with my family. It's family owned and run and they are such nice and hospitable people. Pro tip- get the green goddess roll- it's delicious!

Had an issue with our first server but the manager quickly made up for this and even competed our drinks. Needless to say we really appreciated this and look forward to returning soon. Having returned for dinner after living out of town for many years, it was nice to see this wonderful place doing as well as ever. Easy to understand given the quality of the food and its very caring management!

TL;DR: Veteran sushi spot that delivers. Clean cuts, creative rolls, sharp service, and a smooth dinner flow.

We pivoted here after a bad vibe elsewhere and I’m glad we did. Shoutout to the service from Satomi, she was warm and efficient. The kitchen moves fast without losing detail. The Spicy Tuna Rice Cake is excellent with real crunch and balanced heat. Signature rolls hit hard: Sexy Roll, Latino Roll, and Mango Roll all tasted fresh with distinct textures. Dessert was a win too, the Teru vanilla brownie with ice cream.

Room feels cozy and lively, not chaotic. Drinks are solid. This is easily top tier on Ventura for roll-forward sushi and consistency.

Pro Tips:
• Start with the Spicy Tuna Rice Cake.
• Add halibut carpaccio for something light.
• Pick one classic and one signature roll to compare.
• Save space for dessert.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Teru Sushi absolutely lives up to its reputation! A friend recommended it as the first (and best) sushi restaurant in the San Fernando Valley, and they weren’t wrong. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff made us feel right at home. The highlight of the night was meeting the owner, Mike, who went above and beyond — he gave us a tour of the charming back patio with the koi pond and even showed us the private dining area. A true gem in the Valley and a must-visit for any sushi lover!

First time, heard great review and was satisfied with the food and ambience- low music, but not themed to a Japanese restaurant- but we could have a conversation easily. Mentioned it was a birthday celebration but nothing offered, but the next table was celebrating too and offered a free dessert and so disappointed that our waiter did not acknowledge this for us. Service was slow but we were not in a hurry anyway. We will go back and try different menu items. Food was very delicious.

We always have a great experience at Teru Sushi, starting with the location on Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. Parking is plentiful for Los Angeles with street parking and a lot with great Valet Parking service. The restaurant itself is attractive, stylish, clean and well-maintained. The staff are friendly, greeting you when you come and go, and attending to you promptly. The key element, of course, is the food. The food is fresh, well-prepared and attractively served. They have a wide choice of items featuring sushi, sashimi and specialty rolls that will accommodate anyone's tastes (and they will modify any particular item as desired). They have a wide selections of alcoholic beverages to complement all that as well.

The service was incredible-the staff was so efficient and kind. There's the most lovely garden and koi pond in the patio area. My husband and I looked at each other during our delicious dinner and said “this is our new spot.” Highly recommend!

I had an incredible dining experience TERU sushi restaurant. I am wowed by the the service, it was truly exceptional from start to finish. Luis went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and our primary server (whose name I sadly forgot) was attentive, kind, and made excellent recommendations. The food was fresh, beautifully presented, and paired perfectly with the warm, welcoming atmosphere — easily one of the best sushi experiences I've ever had.

Ordered food, said 30 min till done. It was NOT 30 min till done. It was an hour. I drove around for 30 minutes waiting for my food while it was getting cold. Made the food disgusting. Terrible food. Terrible service. Never reccomend.

Stopped by here on the way home last night, they had the biggest sushi portions with a really nice presentation. Pricier but well worth it.
