Teru Sushi was delicious. The service was friendly and welcoming. Their menu variety was excellent , which made it difficult to choose what to get. I wish I was not just visiting the area because I would definitely go back for more.

I love this place have been going here for a while. Sushi is a bit pricey, but I guess you pay for what you get. That is fresh sushi that melts in your mouth. Service is good, I usually go before dinner time or before the rush. I do like their hand rolls their sushi is always fresh.

Pleasant hostess, but from there downhill. I always order dishes I cannot satisfactorily make at home. The tempura dinner was neither lightly battered nor crisp. The same was true of the soft shell crab appetizer. Whoever prepared them that night was not familiar with how they should look and taste. It was a major disappointment. Also, the timing of plates served was very off putting. First, a bowl of miso soup is served and after 3 spoonfuls, the dinner is served. Somewhere between trying to finish the soup and not letting the tempura turn luke warm, the fried crab appetizers arrive on the table. Meanwhile, my dinner partner's main course has yet to arrive. There are definitely better Japanese restaurants. A restaurant owner who does not ensure that their meals are consistently delicious and properly served doesn't deserve the business.

Had a wonderful sushi date night at Teru Sushi with a cute little Coy pond outside. Had a variety of specialty sushi and large hot sake. Buzzing atmosphere and lively energies and conversations. Had attentive and friendly service all around. We will be back for another date night. Thank you everyone for your hospitality!

This is our go to sushi spot in studio city! The rolls are amazing & fish is very fresh and melts in your mouth. The ambience is perfect for a date night- dark and sultry but still comfortable.

The fish is very fresh and everything is melt in your mouth good. I asked them "WHY is even your California roll SO good??" I never tasted one so good before and it's because they use real crab. You can't go wrong with any of their rolls, literally. They even have a beautiful vegan roll "Buddhas Garden". It's worth going and trying a different roll every time. You won't be disappointed. Definitely the best in the valley that I've tried.

I rarely rate sushi places but this one I decided it needed a review for sure being that it's been there in the valley studio city area for 45 years. First off I got to try this place recently for a Friday night dinner which is a rarity given we always have shabbos at home. But my husband hasn't had a chance in a long while to do a guys pizza and ice cream night with our son so it worked out. Steve cha on rock star eater a YouTuber was raving how amazing this top sushi place is and said a must to check out. So usually he is pretty right on his words of suggesting the place to try especially when it comes to sushi. Now on to my honest detailed review. Note my 4 star is that the fish is fresh, tasting, and good quality to my liking that is. Good ratio of fish with rice in the sense rice wasn't over powering the fish with the fish being the star. Now here is where it got that one star off mark. When I got there I asked for the bar and the front said no seats at the bar but we do have this one weird seat you can go to. I could see why because no one really gets seated there because when you seat there you face not just the bar with people at it as well as the chefs preparing the rolls but lots of people both guest and servers waiters walking back and forth. All my rolls plus soup took what seemed like forever compared to a few other high end quality sushi I have gone to. When I ordered my this is how I roll with telling my waiter no spice may mayo sauce the roll came with it. Warning you the place is crammed on top of waiters need to come by to ask what food and or rolls you missing. Last time I checked I have never had a sushi place forget what I ordered for the need to come back and re ask what am I missing. Honestly I order my usuals at got sushi in northridge which is just as good and better on service because when I tell them no rice and no sauce they listen to what I ask then deliver it to me that way. Lastly the lobster wonton soup I ordered taste good however I couldn't taste any lobster in it. You should at least try it to compare to your usual places you go to for sushi and or Japanese sushi type places to taste your way through the food to see if it's a place you would come back plus recommend.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. Used to be my go-to place until we found TWO hairs in two separate spicy tuna rice cake rolls yesterday. The hair was inside of the fish of two different rice cakes, which my boyfriend and I both almost consumed. That was the most disgusting food I have almost ate. The manager showed no remorse and said "Haha I hate when that happens." Like WHAT??? How many times does this happen each day...? DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE. Go anywhere else for sushi the quality of the sushi here is at the bottom of the list. Would give this place negative stars if I could.

Absolutely DISGUSTING. Used to be my go-to place until we found TWO hairs in two separate spicy tuna rice cake rolls yesterday. The hair was inside of the fish of two different rice cakes, which my boyfriend and I both almost consumed. The hair was long and black, clearly one of the chef's hairs . That was the most disgusting food I have almost ate. The bald manager showed no remorse and said "Haha I hate when that happens." Like WHAT??? How many times does this happen each day...? DO NOT GO HERE PLEASE. Go anywhere else for sushi the quality of the sushi here is at the bottom of the list. Would give this place negative stars if I could.

I’m not a fan of sushi, but the food in this restaurant was really great. Went here with a friend of a friend who knows the place and we eat what he considered that is best. We shared around 5-6 different sushi and all were delicious. The restaurant is on this location from 1975.

I just had a delicious meal from Teru Sushi. The service was excellent. I had my baby with me and they were very accommodating. There is valet parking which is great and also there is parking on ventura if you get lucky. Overall i was very satisfied; 10 out of 10. I had vegetable and shrimp tempura, halibut carpaccio, yellowtail sashimi, a special roll which i photographed. It was all so delicious.

Prepare for a tale of culinary misery at Teru Sushi. As I endured the agony of waiting for what felt like eons for my final rolls amidst a packed restaurant, the sushi itself was disappointingly subpar. But the real horror unfolded when I witnessed the appalling behavior of a bald Persian-looking staff member towards an older Asian worker, reminiscent of a high school bully. Adding insult to injury, gossiping ensued amongst the staff like a scene from a teenage drama. Dear Teru Sushi, in the realm of hospitality, kindness costs nothing. It's time to elevate your standards and provide an experience worthy of your patrons.
