Food was terrible- nothing fresh all frozen grossness. Server was nice. Atmosphere was typical bar.
Such an awesome gem situated in one of the most stunningly beautiful places by the ocean you could hope to find. The food is so delicious and huge portions. The drinks are spot on and friendly service. My wife and I absolutely love this place and always try to stop here when we're in this area. Excellent choices of the best turf and surf.
Not like the old days
Perfecto todo 💯 everything perfect. 💯
Employee was great! Ordered to go on a busy night and did not take long at all.
Great service and great food. the waitress was our bartender as well, and she was very knowledgeable about the entire place.Food and drink.
Had a great time here. Lovely potato skin, trout and all. Meaty place so its stuffy and meaty. As long as you know, food quality is good.

While the atmosphere and service is great at the Nugget, the food, at least the food we ordered, was awful.

I spent 50$ on two things. they were both super bland and dry and i got a beef dip for pick up, they never gave me the dip, they just gave me a dry plain bread and beef sandwitch

Such a fantastic restaurant, me and my wife eat there about once a week and everything from ambiance to the service gives you that good ol’ hommie feeling and the food is great! Definitely try ribs and the trout my two favorite things on the menu!
Dietary restrictions: I can’t eat wheat, eggs, dairy or nuts and I always have multiple options on this menu

If you're in Summerland and looking for a place with hearty food and a relaxed atmosphere, The Gold Nugget Bar and Grill is a must-visit. This local gem has been serving the community for years, and it shows in both their food and service.
The menu is impressive, offering everything from steaks and seafood to fresh salads, so there's something for everyone. I tried their Prime Rib on a Friday evening, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and just the right size. Their weekend brunch is another highlight, especially with the mimosa specials that perfectly complement the relaxed, saloon-style atmosphere.
Speaking of atmosphere, the decor adds to the charm—rustic and welcoming, with a nostalgic vibe that makes you feel like you've stepped back into a classic Western saloon. It's the kind of place where you can enjoy a good meal, whether you're with family or friends.
Service was friendly and efficient, and I appreciated the attention to detail from the staff. The Gold Nugget has a comfortable, community feel, and it's clear they value their customers. Whether you're stopping by for dinner or weekend brunch, it's a spot you'll want to return to again and again.
Highly recommended for both locals and visitors alike!
Parking: I parked in front of the gas station since street parking is a bit limited.

I was on a quick lunch break and the server was considerate and helped me get seated on the patio as well as my food expedited with a to go box so I can get back to work. The Crunch burger with onion rings was absolutely delicious.
