Decent food, good atmosphere. Went here for dinner to celebrate a birthday and they gave us a complimentary birthday vanilla ice cream with a candle, served with a sprinkle of edible birthday confetti flakes, a candy cherry đ, and orange đ slices in a martini cocktail (triangular) glass!! The ice cream was rich and creamy and had a gelato-like texture and consistency without feeling too thick or heavy. đ¨
We ordered the black pepper beef, vegetable curry (green beans, carrots, okra, eggplant, tofu), and samosas. Loved the potato samosas!! The beef had nice flavor but was really tough and hard to chew/break apart for some pieces. The vegetable curry was soupy and tasted really good (green beans and tofu were a highlight, and eggplant was good but there was only 1 tiny partial piece of eggplant included in the dish), but doesnât come with rice. We had a nice dinner overall and the waitress gave us a bag automatically for our Togo boxes - that attention to detail was appreciated!
Service was efficient and friendly!

Pork belly and the sauce with the onions was phenomenal! Biryani was delicious. Garlic noodles could have used more garlic but was still amazing!

Tea leaf salad had a bit of a kick which was a pleasant surprise. Pumpkin/Squash was not very warm. Garlic noodles were not garlicky enough and the pork was just cold cut bbq pork.

I love this part of downtown, so many places to visit and Burma Taste should be an included stop. I was able to sit outside for my lunch and is something I recommend if you have that option. Service is excellent and your choice will be at your table quicker than youâd think. I chose their Vegetable Curry and Coconut Rice. My meal was hot with fresh veggies and decent flavor. The sweetness of the rice went well with the curry. Keep in mind that rice is an extra charge. I added a Lychee Martini for my adult beverage that was refreshing a lychee sweet. There are tons of parking close by but the street is closed to traffic which allows you to people watch while enjoying the meal. Portions are great for the price so bro your appetite. If you are looking to try something different Burma Taste will deliver.

Was a regular until now, not sure if the management changed, everything that was good about this place has gone bad now.
The food was too oily and not fresh. We found a strand of hair in the soup. They are severely under-staffed , the day I went only two waitress were there for the whole restaurant. One of them was good and the other one was pretty rude, we had the rude one wait on us. She never came near the tables, we had to get up and fine them most of the time. Had a wonderful time all these years in Burma Taste, but now it all ruined for me.

Maybe we didnât order the right things or donât know the difference it has from Thai food, but all three dishes tasted just ok. The chicken curry was bland and oily at the same time. The eggplant shrimp dish was relatively better but there was an overpowering sourness. The samosas were tasty inside but had very oily shells. Portions and service were good!

Restaurantji Recommends
Went for dinner and food was pretty decent. As a vegetarian, I had no trouble choosing what to order since they have a ton of veggie options on the menu. We got house noodles and a tofu curry. They werenât bad, but nothing special. Iâm still thinking about trying their tea leaf salad, though. That might be the thing that makes me decide if I like them or not.

The food was spectacular, and the portion sizes were more than generous. Definitely check out the lettuce wrap, and be mindful of the spice level on the noodles.
My first foray into Burmese food and I enjoyed it! As an app, we got the vegetarian curry and roti, which was probably my favorite dish. I got the Burmese chow mein, which I liked. The chicken was plentiful and yummy, but nothing extraordinary. My friend got the crispy chicken based on the serverâs recommendation, and it was very crispy and well sauced. My other friend got a tofu curry, which had huge tofu slabs.
The portion sizes are plentiful, which makes it worthwhile even though itâs a standard price. Service was also super fast, by the time it took the three of us to go to the bathroom, the food was out. Just note that rice is not included, you do have to buy it. Overall, I enjoyed this place and Burmese food in general

Shit restaurant.
Canât handle a bigger party.
We went there as a party of 10 and obviously weâll talk but were told to get out after paying 316$ bill including 20% gratuity.
So pls go here in a bigger group if youâre ready to be yelled at by the manager and the server.
Check all my other reviews they are all 5 stars. This is the only place that made us feel shit as we are probably not of the same descent.
Not too recommended. Food is a bit salty. 80 dollars for 2 pp
