We’ve been here several times including twice recently. I’m probably about 4.5 on the food but giving it the benefit of the doubt. Most recently we shared three seafood dishes and they were all great. Family style is the way to go so you can enjoy the numerous flavors. The ceviches are tasty as well and highly recommend the lomo saltado. Service is friendly although a bit slow. Beer and cocktails available and limited wines.

Black Paella / Arroz Negro: The absolute highlight of the meal. The rich squid ink rice had an intense, deep, savory flavor, balanced wonderfully by fresh shellfish and crisp pickled red onions on top.
Chicken Fried Rice: Exceptionally flavorful and well-seasoned. The chicken was tender, and the fresh scallions and peppers gave it a great texture and aroma.

Emelina's Peruvian Restaurant is a new addition to Sunnyvale downtown, located in the previous Sweet Sicily Italian Restaurant. The interior remains mostly unchanged, including the dessert display freezer filled with Italian desserts, creating a unique Italian-Peruvian fusion atmosphere. The food is described as delicious and healthy, with standout dishes such as excellent meat, flavorful ceviche, and tasty Peruvian paella. The traditional Pisco Sour cocktail received high praise, and the filet of beef was noted to melt in your mouth. The restaurant offers great service with friendly staff who are very familiar with the menu. The drinks are fresh and tasty, made with real fruit. Diners also enjoyed the classic ceviche, the grilled octopus, Leche de Tigre ceviche, and squid ink paella. Prices are on the higher end, but reviewers believe the Pisco Sour and dishes like Lomo Saltado and octopus ceviche are worth the cost.
