Hands down the best mexican sit down restaurant in sunnyvale. Ive been going for 17 years and evrey meal is delicious. The workers are very nice and i love the steak burrito!! Very family owned feeling and is a sunnyvale classic!

Chicken burrito was really bland - the burrito was about 70% boiled chicken and 30% beans. I expected more flavor and fillings like most other places but this really was not it.

First visit,ordwred 2 plates and after 50 minutes when we wwre about to leave our food arrived, imagine waiting an hour for mexican food that needs no preparation and everything is ready,we literally saw 5 people that came 30 minutes after us served but not us, they obviously forgot about our order,let's say that was an honest mistake,food taste is extremely mediocre and actually taste like nothing, I got the same food on aqui and it's extremely tasty but not here. And also the food is much more expensive than aqui, definitely won't happen again.

Food was mediocre. The chips were cardboardy and lacking flavor. I ordered the tres calores enchiladas. The sauces came out with a skin on them. Everything here was simply ok.
Staff was very friendly though it did take 7-8 minutes to get my check. (My waiter was greeting, seating, and running the cash register... Dude seemed over tasked.)
On top of it, the three enchiladas and a diet coke rang up to 30.80. With tip it was $36 for one person and no alcohol. I'll just go to a taqueria next time.

We enjoyed a nice dinner in this family owned comfy place. The food was very good although the chicken didn’t seem like it was grilled (asada) just plain chicken. The portions were good but everything needed salsa on it to have enough flavor. Steak was also just a little flavorless. The margarita was delicious. The service was excellent. We definitely enjoyed Casa Lupe!

We arrived at opening with a reservation on a Friday. The server remembered taking the reservation which was nice -- we were promptly seated in a booth of our choice.
It's a beautiful restaurant with a nice calm atmosphere. Even as lunch picked up it didn't seem overly loud.
This was our first time here. Given the glowing reviews we were expecting spectacular food. But none of the food really had much flavor or seasonings. The guacamole lacked any red onion or cilantro. The enchiladas Suizas was much different than expected with a bland sauce.
We usually go to Palo Alto Sol, so perhaps it's just a very different type of Mexican food than we were expecting.
Overall, for us it was a miss, but they do have excellent service.
