An absolute joy to work with—I cannot say enough nice things about them. They are kind, respectful and responsive. I am so very glad I got the chance to meet them and work with them. Every step of the process has been wonderful. I would happily work with them in the future. I worked with Jennifer & cannot thank her enough for her kindness & generosity.
We hired Eisenhauer Catering for our wedding at Nestldown. While the food was good, the overall experience working with them was incredibly frustrating. I would absolutely choose a caterer with worse food if it meant avoiding the stress and disappointment they caused.
Let’s start with the good: the food. Dustin allowed us two tastings to fine-tune our menu, which was thoughtful. He suggested increasing appetizers and reducing entrées, which was a great call—guests raved about the apps. Of the caterers we tried, Eisenhauer’s food was the best.
But food is only one part of a good catering experience. After signing, we hit a series of disappointing and stressful issues, especially once we began working with Jennifer.
Some key problems:
• Pricing and transparency: Eisenhauer has a strange drink pricing model—$16/guest for beer/wine, $22 for signature cocktails, $28 for full bar—even though we provided all the alcohol. Other caterers just charged a flat bar setup fee. When we asked why, Jennifer gave vague answers and said it was “unreasonable” for us to ask where the extra money was going.
• Bait-and-switch on discount: Our initial price was for 150 guests. When our final count was 115, we were told we owed 20–30% more. No one warned us the price would jump if guest count dropped. That should have been communicated upfront.
• Dietary restriction errors: We sent a clear list of guests’ dietary needs (e.g., lactose intolerance, vegan). Multiple times, Jennifer mixed up lactose intolerance with gluten-free, even after we corrected her. Thankfully, no one got sick, but it was alarming.
• Poor communication on name cards: We placed name cards in labeled Ziplock bags by table. A week before the wedding, I made a small seating change and emailed Jennifer. Only then did she tell me I was responsible for ordering each card within the bag. If I hadn’t reached out, we would have had a mess on the wedding day.
• Inflexible setup during photos: Our families were staged by the pond for photos (including mobility-impaired relatives), and the lawn setup hadn't started. Jennifer came over and said, “Dinner starts where you’re standing, so move if you want to eat.” It was abrupt, especially given our photographer had used that spot before with no issue.
• Missing food: We asked that leftover appetizers be brought to the dinner buffet. I saw a full tray of untouched samosas during cocktail hour—but they were never brought out.
• Dinner photo disruption: Our plan, coordinated with our photographer, was to take a quick photo with each table before they went to the buffet—efficient, scenic, and simple. Jennifer ignored this plan. Despite being corrected multiple times (including by the photographer), she released tables in her own order. This caused chaos and cut our dancing time by a quarter. I spent much of the toasts feeling upset and distracted. The next day, Jennifer sent a defensive email trying to justify her decision.
In the end, the food was good—but hiring Eisenhauer was our single biggest regret. They made planning stressful and created avoidable problems on the wedding day. Every other vendor was a joy to work with. Eisenhauer was the one major blemish on an otherwise beautiful experience.
Skeletons in ones closet always come out when you don't have integrity or tell the truth. Very glad her business demeanor is good, but beware please. PLEASE please please. She is not what she seems. I will leave it at that. She wanted to be a news anchor, but that did not pan out. So instead, she handles the pans at weddings and sporting events. Delta Gamma's are suppose to DO GOOD. Integrity. Please beware! The churches she is linked with could pose a serious problem. Thank you for reading.
I was referred to Eisenhauer's as one of the preferred partners for Hakone Gardens, where we were holding my mother's Memorial Service. Never having arranged an event like this, or even personally hired a caterer, I wasn't sure how to proceed. Dustin and Lisa definitely exceeded my expectations. Here's why:* They answered their phone! Yes, no automated attendants or forms to complete; they actually answered their phone. I explained my situation to Lisa and she got Dustin on the line right away.* Not knowing what I wanted, I started by describing my mother, what she liked and what kind of lady she was. Dustin immediately picked up on what type of event we wanted to hold and made valuable suggestions.* They turned around their proposal in less than three hours.* They were responsive via email in answering my questions and were helpful and respectful throughout.* They arrived at the venue on time, asked me questions along the way to ensure every detail was what I wanted, and further answered my questions along the way.* The food was excellent, plentiful, and beautifully presented. They had such a sense of what I wanted, they even instinctively brought my mother's favorite cookies without my even asking.* Dustin and his team worked hard through the event, clearing plates and bringing out more food, without ever being in the way.* And when it was all over, they provided bags and boxes so we could take home the extras.I'm sure I am missing something here, but you get the gist - you can count on these folks. Thanks, Dustin!
Eisenhauer's Catering is the best!! We tried sample tasting at several catering companies when we were choosing the one for our wedding, and Eisenhauer's was exceptional. Their food was delicious, the way it was served was gorgeous, and communication with them was so easy, so we chose them for our Big day with no hint of doubt.During the entire year Dustin and Lisa were a huge help to us, which is really important during wedding planning. On our wedding day food was beyond our expectations. It was tasty, had lots of variety, some appetizers were very thoughtfully labeled as "Dairy free" and "Vegetarian", to make sure all the guests were comfortable with their food.We had a special request for a traditional salad, that is cooked in our native cuisine, and Eisenhauer's totally coped with that. If I mention all the details I asked them to do,it's going to be a 10-page review :-) so I will just say that: Eisenhauer's were great and without them our wedding could not be as awesome, as it was.Our guests were excited, and we are absolutely happy!
We booked Eisenhauer’s for our wedding, and the experience was amazing from start to finish. We have had people consistently telling us the food was amazing both during and after the wedding, and it certainly was! I’d highly recommend Eisenhauer’s for any kind of event!! We’d certainly want to book them for any events we’ll have in the future.
We hired Eisenhauer for our wedding and it was the best decision we could have ever made! They made our wedding effortless and enjoyable. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing, and our guests could not stop talking about the service.
I haven’t had our wedding yet, but their attention to detail with bringing you in for a tasting is beyond experiential. That was the best filet mignon I’ve had in my life, and the chef went out of his way to make me a tuna ceviche that was literally better than any poke I’ve ever had before!

Ordered box lunches for a memorial service today. Over the top quality. Fresh, Fresh, Fresh! Awesome potato salad and yummy luscious fudge and lemon bars. We love working with this local native son and his family. Old school quality and value. We also had Eisenhauer’s cater our Father’s 90th birthday. First class!

Nice job of serving fun summertime staples of cheeseburgers with grilled onions and mini chili cheese dogs with chopped white onion, if desired. Also, sweet watermelon pops and a selection of iced tea or strawberry lemonade to cool you down. DELICIOUS ?
Eisenhauer’s catering offers great food at a fair price. The owner is honest, and this long-term family business gives back to the community. We’ve hired Eisenhauer’s for client and team events, and have been nothing but pleased!
Dustin and his team are fantastic! They have now catered several of our events including: Daughter's 1st birthday party, wife's 30th birthday party, annual Christmas party and 2 work event parties. The food is delicious! He uses family recipes that help create a personal yet comfort-food experience. Their presentations are creative and help create the atmosphere. Overall, I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to have an event catered from dinner party, birthday to wedding and corporate events.
Absolutely Delicious! Service is top notch as well! Definitely recommended.
Enjoyed the wine and the amazing and so delicious food at their open house. Great staff of people.
