Merit Vegan Restaurant

I have been going to this place for over three years, but today there was sand in the vegetables. I left my half-eaten plate on the table and went to clean my mouth, hoping to finish the remaining food. By the time I came back, the waiter had removed the plate. When I mentioned this, the waiter said there was no food left, and the manager didn’t even acknowledge that there could have been sand in the dish.

It’s disappointing, but I won’t be going to this place again. I thought the food was good, but clearly it isn’t, and the service has always been bad, I was only going there for the food.

I visit this restaurant frequently and the food is good. However the staff that work here have increasingly become rude. I saw a family with a 2 year old yelled at by the server since the baby dropped a few veggies on the floor.

The staff was like “can you please make sure you don’t let the kid play with the veggies!”. Come on! That’s the rude way to treat your customers. You see food on the floor, please clean it. It’s not like an adult has been throwing the food down. Literally the food in the baby’s hand slipped. Be kind. Learn how to treat customers!

we love to get fresh spring rolls, spicy noodle soup/tom kha soup, crispy chow mein, spicy fried rice, claypot rice
they also have full vegan cakes that we get for birthdays, personal favorite is the tiramisu!

LOVE this place. Been once a month or so and it's quickly become my favorite restaurant in the bay. Service is fast, no nonsense. So many options.

Horrible service, long time to get water and menu, and they missed one item in our order and when we poinites it out it took a very long time and asking them once again to get it. Very rude service, unapologetic, unprofessional.

One of the best vegan restaurants in the Bay Area! The amount of flavor that they put into each dish without using any animal products is astounding and is one of our go-to stops for an affordable, delicious meal. Long time customer!

4th time going back and we can't get enough. Queens is next level. Eggplant basil tofu is AMAZING. None vegan friends were blown away by taste AND how their body/mind felt after eating.

I ate here (or got delivery from here) every single day of my week long silicon valley trip. I tried something different every time and they were all delicious! The staff is so lovely and friendly, they even lent me a charging block when I had just arrived from the airport and desperately needed one 🥺 special shout-out to the super friendly waiter who always brightens my day with his “hi friend!” 😊

Edit 11/02 - tried this place again after a long time - felt that the quality of the food has gone down.

I am typically a non vegetarian - came here with some vegetarian relatives. The service was excellent and the food was pretty good.

Hot and sour soup - very good - a little on the sweet side
Spicy fried rice - very good
Mongolian delight - good but a little salty
Spicy jalapeño tofu - decent

Desert
Caramel flan - decent
Strawberry cheese cake - decent
