Saravanaa Bhavan in Sunnyvale gave me that I’ve missed this feeling the second the food came out. I was back in the Bay Area after a long time, and this meal honestly hit like comfort food in the best way warm, familiar, and exactly what I was craving.
Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, the kind of food that makes you slow down and actually enjoy each bite. And the best part for me was ending it with filter coffee it was strong, smooth, and just the perfect finish.
I left genuinely happy (and full). If you’re in the area and want proper South Indian food, this spot does the job.

Ordered 2 pc. Idly Sambar and Mysore Masala Dosa. Firstly, the sambar came out cold, it was not even warm. I specifically told the server to bring everything out very HOT when I ordered, so I sent it back. The red chutney on the side tasted totally bland like you were eating crushed/diced tomatoes out of a can, no flavor nor spice. Same goes for the potato filling. Further there was hardly any red chili chutney on the crepe and that too lacked any spice. Not even once did the server come by the table to check on us. Had to flag everyone down as they were busy in they're own side conversations. There was only one other couple eating in the entire restaurant, so no excuses. Overall the quality of food has gone down quite considerably. Not sure if I'll come again.

Good place to have South Indian cuisine. Regular dishes. Adai and aviyal are good combo, but not so great. Need some improvement in the dough preperation. But this is the only place I ate this food. Other dishes are ok.

Delicious sambhar and chutneys. Enjoyed mix veg utthapam, Sarvana special dosa and for the first time had a mix veg dosa. Mix veg dosa had fresh & crispy vegetables in it. Loved everything. Will be back and highly recommend others to try!
