I remember going here as a kid. The food was great and if you left hungry it was your fault. Being a skier, it was normally in the winter months. I am heading up there with my kids next weekend, and I was planning on taking them here again, but they are closing tomorrow. So sad to them go, so thankful for all the wonderful meals I have had there.

Nice server. Good bread. Ok soup. Ok salad. Fire the chef immediately. My friend and I entrees were closer to Chinese food then Italian. It was bizarrely bad.

It was a nostalgic visit to Family orientated restaurant, in Lake Forest/ Tahoe City, Ca….I had grown up there, spent honeymoon there….nice to see the restaurant. Food was good, glad we went.

Been coming here since I was a kid in the 80’s with my family. Been over 20 years since the last time so I had to take our kids to show them what I was talking about. New memories same feeling. Happy this place is still going.

This place is a family favorite for us. Great atmosphere and kind and funny people especially the owner. I like getting the spinach ravioli with the spicy Italian sausage. I feel so pampered with the 5 course meal, bread, soup, salads, main dish & the spumoni ice cream is the best!

Perfect place for a date night with a special someone. Expect high prices, however worth while. Nice ambiance, dimmed lighting, candle light dining, 5 course meal. Great experience!

Loved the food. The taste was amazing. Mr Hunter and his team were very patient and always trying to ensure that everyone was being taken care of. The 4 cheese pastas and meatballs are some of the best that we ever tried.

Absolutely terrifying experience. Felt like walking into the twilight zone. We walked in and you could here the crickets. We didn't know if the guests were even alive they were so quiet. No music, no conversation. No silverware making noise. The guy was watching Jeopardy and walked into the back and came out and continued to watch TV. Pretty positive he worked there. We left after waiting awhile and no greetings. An experience we will never forget. Really nice place but freaky.

Think Olive Garden, but family owned for generations and a million times better. This Italian food is authentic and delicious! It looks a little intimidating from the outside, but it’s like stepping back in times to the 50s! Definitely recommend to Italian lovers.

The food was okay. Not great. I had Linguine with Scallops & Shrimp. The sauce was tasty, but could have used a bit more garlic. The shrimp and scallops were slightly overcooked. The pasta seemed like it was off-the-shelf, not bad just nothing special. I really enjoyed the antipasto salad, and the bread-which I understand is their own recipe-was very good but served cold. For the price ($78 for two people/one beer/no dessert), I really expected better food. The service was very good, I have to say that. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was charmingly old-school, if slightly shabby. Unfortunately, I don't think I would go back.

89 years in operation. A full 3 course Italian meal. Decent wine selection and even better pricing. Highly recommend for big families.

the food is not for an Italian palate. the place is falling apart. I really wanted to give it a good review, but the food is pretty bad.
