Came here on a weeknight during a trip to Tahoe. We were seated in the bar area at a high top that still offered a nice view of the beautiful lake. We opted for the tasting menu. The first course was a kanpachi, which was very light and flavorful. Next was a delightful beet salad. I enjoyed the scallop and lamb dishes very much. I thought the service was underwhelming, as they asked for us to hold on to our silverware between courses, which I find less than ideal for an upscale restaurant, particularly for a tasting menu. It was also hard to summon our waiter, as he was quite elusive. Their house breads were fantastic, though, and I really enjoyed their house made olive oil and lavender infused butter. The triple chocolate dessert that is part of the tasting menu is quite small but very rich. My dining partner opted for the panna cotta instead, which I think was stronger dessert. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here due to the quality and execution of the dishes and beautiful ambiance.

We had the best dinner I've ever had in Tahoe last night at Christy Hill. We all loved our dinners. The charcuterie plate is a great way to start, great combo of cheeses, meats, nuts and olives. I had the duck in a mole sauce with cranberries. Sounded like an odd combo but this dish was amazing. Duck was cooked to perfection. My husband had the mushroom raviolis, I tasted one, wow, so good. My friends both had the wild boar and they loved their dishes. They have a nice wine list, we had a Cabernet franc from France. The deserts were awesome as well, love the sticky date cake. From start to finish, our meal was so enjoyable. The view is probably one of the best views on the lake. We all said we can't wait to come back here. Service also was really friendly and good. Wish this restaurant was in my SF hood.

Everything about our dining experience was exceptional! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, the view of the lake and mountains from our table could not be better, and the food was overall one of the best meals I have ever had. Intimate atmosphere was perfect and the wine list left nothing to be desired. Bravo!

Great view. Good food. It is expensive and aesthetic. Service is okay, we had to ask for bread.

This review is long overdue. I have eaten at Christy Hill several times over the years and have always had an enjoyable experience; since the new owners took over last summer, it has become the best restaurant in the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. From the moment you walk in, it is an experience!Christy Hill offers an incredible lake view that is paired with an extensively curated wine list and some of the best food I have ever eaten. The new chef, Luis Vallin, has elevated the seasonal menu and created unique and delectable options that leave me wanting more. The last few times I have visited, I was offered complimentary, specialty items sent out by the chef that are a testament to his creativity and passion. Be sure to try the Halibut (mouth watering) and the Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding, to die for.The service is always impeccable and staff willing to go out of their way to create a memorable evening. New owner, Alex, has been onsite each time I have visited and always stops by my table to check-in and make sure we are enjoying ourselves and see if there is anything further he can do to elevate our experience. I also love that they offer an option for an "End of the Night Round for the Kitchen." As someone who has worked in restaurants, these small touches are greatly appreciated by staff, but also by diners who understand how hard service employees work, especially in a mountain town where a great deal of service staff is being priced out. These are the extra touches that make the restaurant stand out from the rest, an outstanding place to enjoy a special occasion or just an evening out.I also want to speak to the Sandbar that opened last summer. After my first visit, I knew it would become my go-to summer hangout, a special place to bring family and friends visiting from out of town. Not only is the view, especially the sunset, on full display, but it is coupled with the coziest tables (some with built in fire places) and a casual menu, great for quick bites. The lobster rolls were a favorite! I became a regular for the rotating live music that was always unique. It made for a fun, relaxed atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to more summertime evenings at the Sandbar.Overall, Christy Hill is a perfect place for a memorable night out. It is a spot where you will feel welcomed and comfortable, while enjoying an exceptional menu and service.

Wish I could give it higher marks but this place really lack class.First, Christy Hill nickel and dimes you, it doesn't have the courage to raise their prices. They have a surcharge for using a credit card. I mean seriously? The bill for two was about $400, what type of restaurant has those prices and then asks for an addition 6% credit card fee? Who carries cash anymore? This isn't a food truck at the local grocery store that needs to avoid surcharges. Then they ask for an additional tip for the kitchen staff on top of the 20% for the server. Why doesn’t Christ Hill raise prices so they can get a larger tip to share equally? The restaurant comes across as desperate.Second, we tried to make a reservation a few months ago and were told they don’t take reservations for a party of 11. It is too large. When we were there we saw tables being set up for a party of 11. I asked about it and they told me it is a ski group that has been coming for years. These were all caucasian men in their late 20’s. Guess white men are OK, but other groups aren’t, see photo.Won’t be coming here anymore, Tahoe City has classier options.

Really great place on Lake Tahoe! It's cozy and vibey. We were laughing and enjoying ourselves the whole time which didn't seem like the overall vibe as it was more like a date spot The food was delicious. We got pretty much everything in the menu. The scallops and the carrot appetizer were stand outs The service was pleasant and attentive and very friendly. Great place!

We went there on a recommendation from friends. We were not disappointed. Fantastic views, impeccable service, amazing food and excellent wine selection. I had the lamb, which I was told is their signature dish. Definitely the most perfectly prepared lamb I have ever had in a restaurant. The venison tartare was also amazing, as was the wild boar. We finished off with the triple chocolate, also fantastic.

Highly recommend the Crudo. Fish was light and paired perfectly with the sauce. The squash bisque was delicious. Hubby & I shared the scallops with parmesan risotto & it melted in your mouth. Service was attentive and welcoming.

Really nice and romantic place with excellent service and crew . Variety of food selections was good for winter and everything was tasty. I would recommend the Lamb and duck breast Also, I definitely recommend to go before sunset to enjoy the lake view.

Very very nice. Great menu, flexible chef offerings and substitutions within reason with knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and helpful wait staff, really enjoyed the meal and the price was not nearly as outlandish as so many others nearby.
