Cedar House Deck

This was our first time dining at the CH Pub and had I not chatted with the Head Chef down at Ski Hill restaurant, I never would have stumbled upon it. This is a hidden gem and a refreshing departure from the chain-y, overpriced tourist traps and fine lakeside dining in town. We had a wonderful dinner experience here last night. We have been here many times and it was always good but the menu and quality have been raised under new leadership. I have eaten a lot of meat and vegetable pot pies over the years but the elk pot pie here was the BEST I've ever had. Beautiful to look at, a light almost croissant-like flaky crust and a savory inside loaded with delicious tender meat. Cozy pub that can accommodate all size groups. Smallish menu but something for everyone. Fair prices and good food. The wines by the glass are very reasonable too. There are also nightly specials and Friday has yummy Fish and Chips. The staff works together to get people seated and waited on quickly. They are all friendly and nice.
