Review of the restaurant only. Outdoor patio has a great view of the lake. Drinks and food were fine. Service was good. Contrary to Google AI they do NOT allow dogs.

Classic spot on Tahoe's West shore. Great food, drinks, and views of the lake. Huge deck overlooks the water. Great spot to spend a lazy afternoon!

The restaurant provides an amazing outdoor lake-view setting where the staff waiters/waitresses create a pleasant casual dinning experience while lodging there for a few days.

Try the clam chowder and the crab cakes!!! It's so good!!!

The rooms are cabin style faced with lake-views as the Tahoe breeze soothes the guest into a good nights rest.

Iconic lakefront restaurant, our most frequented in the Tahoe City area. Food is fantastic, the views and vibes are the main draw.

It is difficult to leave a one star review. Unfortunately, I feel obliged to warn others about the Sunnyside Lodge. We booked a King Lakefront room for a three night stay FOUR months in advance. It was in celebration of our 31st wedding anniversary and we were very excited.

A month after we booked our reservation, we received a call from the general manager informing us that a group recently booked the entire lodge and we were no longer able to stay in our CONFIRMED lakefront room. I was told that the change came from “corporate” and that he couldn’t do anything about it.

After the shock of disappointment settled, I asked for an email confirming the cancellation. The first sentence of the email reads, “We're sorry your travel arrangements have changed.” Our plans didn’t change by choice. We won’t trust them with our vacation reservations again.

In the past they had good food. Now, not so much. Overpriced. Poor quality. I had the 1/2 chicken it was fatty and poorly cooked. Lukewarm temp. My wife did say the Zucchini was OK. Serving staff was good.

We made reservations for inside for my daughters birthday but told they don’t really matter you only get a table reserved. Which would have been nice to know. I wouldn’t have done that in the beginning of June due to night’s being cold. If I had know this I would have had my children wear warmer clothes. I just wouldn’t have done it period. The food was ok. Should have just stuck with Gar Woods. Never again. We only vaction here but will never be doing this place again.

What a great experience! First, the views were amazing. Second, the entire staff was wonderful. Lastly, the food was spectacular. We had tbe pistachio encrusted fish and the pasta. Both were seasoned to perfection. The pasta was comparable to Italy. We topped it off with the massive Hula Pie.

We had lunch here on the deck and it was beautiful! Overall pretty good food! My salad was great and my husband enjoyed his steak frites for the most part but said some steak was a little chewy. The staff was friendly and location /vibes were perfect. Would come back!

The best roasted chicken!!! Crispy skin, juicy meat and the cheesy polenta and glazed carrots that went with made it one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Heard it’s a seasonal menu - we’ll have to come back before it’s gone! Shout out to the chef and our server Sean for making our anniversary dinner special with a fantastic meal. (Sadly no pics, cleared our plates before it was gone).

Sunday Easter Brunch 10-2pm, we arrived at 12:45, they ran out of Prime Rib close to 1:00, and still were seating people. Cold Eggs, cold prime rib, half a cut, as they were running out, overall the worst $100 I have spent on eating out in a long time! Won't be going back! Denny's could have done better. "I don't care food!" Service was good and was actually over staffed! Service was positive, I blame management!

Easter buffet was delicious. The service was great as well as the value. Loved the prime rib!!!

We were one half early prior to opening. We were allowed in and they built a fire in the fireplace. Our waitress Catlyn was great. Food and ambiance was great
