Super noisy in main dining room at 6:30. All tables were full. I asked if they could move me to a table away from the noisy room and they were super accommodating. Really made my experience satisfying. Prices seem high, but that's Tahoe.
The setting at Sunnyside is absolutely stunning. Watching the sun set across Lake Tahoe from either the outside deck or the waterview seats inside the comfortable dining room sets the table for a wonderful relaxing evening. The restaurant, although full during our visit, was surprisingly quiet making for good conversation. The menu is varied with something for every taste. View was beautiful but food was extremely mediocre. We ordered fish and chips and pistachio halibut. It seemed very overpriced for the presentation and quality. The appetizer of coconut calimati was overcooked and small. I couldn't taste coconut at all the the calamari was tough. Drink order was taken right when we sat down but our drinks of one glass of wine and one soda were not delivered until after the appetizer arrived, even though we had asked the waitress to follow...
