If you drive here from South Lake Tahoe like I did -- be sure to ⛽️ GAS up first as gasoline in this town is well over a dollar higher!

Absolutely the best calzone I’ve ever had! Hands down the most delicious food and the view is amazing! My husband got the pizza and WOW!! Amazing in every way! Must visit this gem!!!!!!!!

there was this rude bald guy who greeted us and we said we had a service dog. and he asked for a reason why we had a service dog, and we stated the reason. and he goes “that’s not a service dog and i’ll let this one slide” and i simply said “okay” and he goes i don’t need the attitude right now. we decided not to dine here and when we walked out he said “you’re disgusting”
it’s 2025 and there’s no reason for him to act this way. i mean if he’s miserable in his own life, he should get therapy. we have a service dog card and shouldn’t be treated this way for having one. i’m adding his picture here because he refused to give us his name for obvious reasons.

Update: the Best leftover Pizza I have ever had from anywhere! Now I wake up wanting more of that! Original: Best pizza within 817 miles (La Comer Wa Thai Chicken at a brew pub was the best) had Maple Butter Nut Squash pizza. Crust was excellent. Flavor improved with the peppers in the shaker jar. Not enough Cayenne flavor on the nuts for me. Loved the Blood Orange Beer. Husband had the Sausage Calzone and was more than filling but he said I could have the left over pizza, thank you and I will enjoy it! Get The BIG one. I got 3 meals out of it!
Stopped on my way back from a trip to Sacramento, hoping tge weather would be good to sit out on the deck. Didn't happen a damp, drizzly, windy Tuesday. The were packed, everyone on a waiting list always a good sign for a restaurant, waiting list at 2 in the afternoon. Had the Fat Zackel Fish Sandwich. Holy Moley! Sandwich is an understatement. More fish than most places put in a fish and chips platter. Highly recommend this sandwich.

Food was very good. House salad was delicious and margarita pizza was excellent with thin crust. Views are fantastic too! If you don’t like birds request to sit inside.

We’re visiting from the Uk and can’t recommend Za’s enough. Amazing food, amazing view, amazing service, amazing food, amazing staff and amazing value. I can’t recommend this place enough, we loved it and the only negative is that we live a million miles away! Thank you for with a lovely experience xx

Beautiful view of Lake Tahoe and very tasty pizza. They have a wonderful vegeburger that is about 2" thick but ask for it to be a little crispy! Within walking distance of transportation. Sit outside and enjoy the view.

Decent place to get a beer and comfort food.
