We were so pleasantly surprised by this restaurant on the lake. Although there was a wait for the table we had a beautiful view and walk until table was ready. It was extremely busy yet our server Laura was lovely and handled it quite well. The bread bowl was a hit with all of us. The large pizza we ordered was quite ample and scrumptious. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed his pesto pasta. We will def come back on our next visit to Tahoe.

The outdoor lakefront seating is amazing and the service was conscientious. The veggie burger was good but the pizza tasted like amusement park or high school concession pizza but still worth having food and drinks there because of the view

The location, beer, and service was pretty good. Nice view over the lake. These aspects deserve a 4. The food however I would give a solid 3, not bad but not great, and definitely overpriced for what was a very bland chicken pasta.

Za`s Lakefront provides an excellent view of Lake Taho if your seated at one of the outside food only tables. Staff is friendly and informative. I had the large pepperoni and saguage pizza and while the crust was thin and good tasting with a lite marinara sause, the toppings were woefully lacking! I have had better quality pizzas and ample main toppings at Pizza Hut , Papa John`s and Domino`s. At $29 a pop for pizza, I expected more. Accordingly, until management decides to provide a better serving of its purported speciality pizza`s, I do NOT recommend Za`s for pizza. Our wait staff Dana provided excellent service and was very accommodating.
Great food, service and beautiful setting. Tiana was just great! So sweet and attentive. Baked Hoagie was to die for! A must stop when in the Lake Tahoe area! With the drive!!

Went on a super busy Labor day weekend. Since everything was packed we were given a place at the bar. After a while the bartender lady asks what do we want. I said, we did not have a table outside or inside and were not given a menu while coming in. I thought I was polite but the lady snapped at us saying thanks for not noticing that she was very busy, that she could not read our minds and literally threw the menu at us!! Really hostile, ruined our mood, ruined our day. Picked up our stuff and left right away. Beautiful place, incredible view, never going back.

The only thing I would change... stop using cloth napkins. Your food is real & unpretentious you are definitely contradicting your delicious food and casual atmosphere by providing cloth napkins.

Came here because we stay nearby and we couldn’t get reservations elsewhere. We both ordered classic pasta dishes, clams linguine and meatballs spaghetti. Too bad, this was really awful, pasta was overcooked and the sauce was runny and the meatballs were burnt, I hope they can make a better sauce and meatballs next time … However , the view of the lake was great.
