I’ve been coming to Bea’s Bakery for years, and I’m so happy it’s still around and better than ever! This place is such a gem — a true Los Angeles classic that’s stood the test of time. The new owner has done an incredible job keeping Bea’s original recipes and traditions alive — the rye bread, challah, and cookies taste just like they always have — while adding delicious new Asian and European desserts. It still has that same warm, nostalgic charm, just with a fresh new twist that makes you want to come back even more!

I always love coming to this Jewish Bakery! I never feel like I’m in a rush. The pastries, the black-and-white cookies, and the bread selection is amazing.

Google and sign on the door says it’s open until 5pm on Sundays. Showed up at 1:30pm and it was very much closed. Walked around back and saw some guys loading out some baked goods, asked why it was closed, the sign on the door says 5pm, and if we could buy something. He laughed at us, and just said no, they were closed, and walked away laughing like we were idiots. Dude definitely isn’t getting any customer service awards.

Edit: I checked their website afterward it is very clear that it would be closed on this one specific day. So I guess it’s on us? I feel like you can update google maps with that kind of stuff and save a few people some time and effort.

Yum yum yum 😋 it’s like walking a huge space bakery I love it very clean, especially the Hispanic employees are very good. I love it nice loving, caring, especially their employees. I think the reason why this place keeps shining light because their employees are the best when you speak to them they’re so nice and beautiful that’s what keeps the store alive

Fantastic and decadent as always! I've been coming here for many years from Ventura County as a special treat and usually for dessert after a lunch time visit next door at Mort's (back when it was good). Bea's is fantastic and a true LA treasure. The cookies are fantastic and so light that you can swear there are no calories in them!

Definitely THE place to go in LA or Ventura County for some out of this world baked goods!

I went there with three people, we each got two things and the total was under $20. Very reasonable and probably one of the few remaining reasonably priced bakeries in LA.

Parking: It is best to park across the street in the Gelson's center.
