What a lovely restaurant with authentic Ukrainian food. Well, I’m thinking it was authentic, but it sure was delicious! We took my Dad here for his birthday and enjoyed our time together. And, best of all was our waiter Ivan. He answered all of our questions and explained everything so patiently. Thank you for the good service, Ivan!
Very pleasant evening. We had a good salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. The tomatoes were as good as can be expected at this time of year. The Pelmeni was excellent as was the chicken snitchzal and the Steak Shasliki. My companions had martinis to start and I had a very good Cabernet Sauvignon that I brought. If I told you this is the best Russian food I’ve ever had, it would insult all of my aunts and grandmothers; but if they could cook like Traktir cooks, I wouldn’t have to offend them.
