We've shopped for speciality breads at Great Harvest for the past few years. Though the bakery is not in our neighborhood, it's worth the drive to pick up a few loaves for our home. The bread can be frozen for later use, and when it has defrosted, it retains its quality.
Our favorites are the High 5 Grain and Dakota breads. I understand that these breads are made from the same dough, but the seeds that are added make them different.

A great local spot for fresh bread and sandwiches located just outside of Temecula wine country.
Highly recommend the breakfast paninis. Either get the garlic or chipotle spread put on your sandwich. You'll love it.

Definitely try out their monkey bread or the cinnamon burst bread. It's amazing.

I love bakeries in general. They are far superior to anything at standard grocery stores, which at one point used to bake things not just take them out of the feeezer.
Having said that, GHBC was middle of the road quality. The tomato sourdough was pretty good but had a giant hole in the center. It happens but technique matters.The jalapeño sourdough was excellent . Not overwhelming spiciness but balanced.
The standard Alaskan sourdough round was a major disappointment....
