Luke's on Front

Went to Luke's for the first time. It's Christmas season and they have the place decorated nicely with many people wanting to take the opportunity to snap a photo. The outdoor seating looked nicer from down below at the street. There were no heaters to ward off an evening chill. The view was a vacant lot, parking lot of another building, and freeway traffic. Kate was our server, and service was just average. Our food was not the greatest. We did not leave feeing it was worthy of the cost. Our Tempura artichokes were over cooked and mushy in consistency in the center, lacking true flavor. Kate offered to send them back but my husband was too hungry to wait. He had a grilled blackened chicken sandwich, adding bacon & avocado. The sandwich he received was decent. I ordered truffle Mac & cheese with an add of chicken bites. I don't believe what I received was truffles Mac & Cheese, as my husband ordered the same as his side and they tasted different and were also different in color. The real disappointment was the chicken bites. They were more of a fried batter cruton. Very little chicken could be found. I ate just a couple bites and asked for a box. I let Kate know about the difference in Mac & Cheese from what I ordered and she did remove the unchange from the bill at my request. Overall this place was a missed opportunity for us. It is more in line with what I would expect at an Applebee's. Sadly, I can't recommend....unless of course, you are looking for a higher priced Applebee's although Applebee's actually has more flavorful food by comparison.

We were greeted by Kaitlyn. She sat my family down to a table. My husband, my mother and two aunties who were visiting for Christmas. One aunty from England and the other from Australia. Kaitlyn was so kind and accommodating to us all. She made sure our food orders were exactly what each one of us would enjoy. She even pulled a window closed for us as the night air became chilly. She took pictures of us all too. My aunties and mother all walked away with smiles and happy full tummies too. Thank you Kaitlyn for making my family feel so at home. 💕

Came for drinks and had such a great experience with the bartender Brittany. She’s knowledgeable about the menu, is very personable and makes sure you love your drink. Looking forward to seeing her behind the bar again 🍹

This place is incredible. Literally everything we ordered was perfectly prepared and delicious. The restaurant is beautiful and the service was impeccable. I highly recommend.

Had an amazing lunch at Luke's, sitting up above Old Town and looking out. I imagine at night its even nicer due to Old Town being lit up. Misters and an umbrella at our table kept us cool. The service was kind and receptive, the food came out hot, correct and delicious. Couldn't even argue the music choice while we were there, it was just a very enjoyable experience. They had a large selection of beer at their bar, which you can enjoy inside the restaurant, or from out on the balcony side. The menu was awesome, I knew I'd have to come back because I couldn't have possibly tried everything I wanted to try. My family was equally pleased. So do yourself a favor and stop by.

Very good hidden spot. Staff was unbelievably accommodating and nice! Food was awesome!! Drinks were cold. The private room we had was decorated for the rich and famous. All around great spot!! Highly recommend.

The service was amazing! We were a party of 9, including 3 toddlers, and Kelly (I believe she’s the owner) went above and beyond to make our dinner experience enjoyable. She was so attentive with the kids, she (Kelly) helped cut their steak and was so mindful of Mom, who had her hands full with her other littles. Not only was the food delicious (we ordered a variety of dishes and loved them all), but the service was truly unmatched. 10 out of 10 I will definitely be back and will recommend to friends and family!

We were attending a rehearsal dinner. It was well organized, beautiful, the service was top notch. They did an amazing job with special touches and the presentation was fantastic.

Went on a Saturday for lunch. It was a really hot day so it wasn’t too crowded. Hostess sat us and took about 15 min before the server came to acknowledge us and this was only because we asked the hostess for our server. Apparently our server was also the bartender and although it wasn’t busy at the bar, she only checked on us a couple of times. I had to go to the bar for a refill on my water since the server never returned. After asking for our bill and the server not returning with it, we ended up going to the bar to pay. Service was so-so and could have been better since it wasn’t busy. The food was very good. The serving size is very generous. You won’t leave hungry.
