I'm so sad this place is closed :( It was so good. I'll never forget all the good memories I had there. RIP souplantation

Sorry to see the chain close the doors. I always enjoyed supporting such a great place. I feel bad for the friends I've made who work there. I wish them the best of luck and I'm positive they'll bring the same smiles and service to their next endeavor.

I am not a fan of this place. With that said I'll be fare and not bias about this place. I am starting to like this place for what it is. Cheap, heathy place with soup. The only thing I enjoy here is the bake potatoes and all the things I can put on it! The employees are nice and pick up the finished dishes.

At first sight, I was afraid we'd missed the closing time, but upon entering, I soon saw there was just a pre-closing lull in diners. Thankfully there weren't many people there, because it gave me the chance to show my younger son how to grab a platter & plate upon entering, and when I coaxed him into getting a plateful of salad (props to my oldest for helping me by telling him sweet pickle are delicious and beets were healthy - even though he tried and didn't care much for either!), he did manage to eat a good amount of raw broccoli, cauliflower, shredded carrots, and a few other veggies that were out of the scope of the norm for his palate. He was happy to see we just needed to pay (Note:they've got a 20% military discount and they charge half price for children up to age 11). We sat down and I left the kids to scope out the rest of the freshly made foodstuffs that SouPlantation has to offer. With locally sourced and organic foods plus food that is freshly cooked unlike any other buffet-style restaurant I'm familiar with, I found that three full meals with drinks coming to less than $30 was a welcome break from the $40+ tabs that you're stuck with after even the cheapest dining experience (I'm talking to you, Denny's- who doesn't even serve fresh foods!). My little man went through with me, and though we stopped at every soup available, he refused to even try them (I tried...). Instead, he eyed the freshly made garlic focaccia and mozzarella sprinkled pepperoni covered breadsticks that he did "the napkin test" on back at the table (for those of you under the age of 13, this is where you take a napkin and press it into the bread, and depending how much oil remains on the napkin when you pull it away, that dictates how healthy the item is). There was barely a dot of grease left on the pepperoni bread, which impressed The Youngun, so he decided this was a pretty great place to get healthy food... and all he could eat, at that! He ate his fill of spaghetti - the manager came over to see how much Parmesan he wanted to sprinkle on it - and my normally cheese-aversive child actually allowed him to shake freely! I was almost so happy I probably looked far too excited about cheese... The waitresses were on it, and were quick to take the food away from the table when we finished. This is definitely one of the best locations I've been to, though I love me some SoupPlantation in general. For some reason, it's become my little guy's favorite out-to-eat place to go, and the military discount, decent child's prices, fresh food, and diverse revolving array of delicious menu items in a non-disgusting buffet setting all make this an inexpensive all-you-can-eat, sneaky way to get your greens in first (sneaky sneaky!) places to eat in any city I've ever visited. Our closest location is the coolest I've been to by far, though, so that's saying a lot!

This is probably my favorite place to go for family dinner. Great quality, delicious food, good choices, and has great fast-working employees. What I usually do, is get the salad plate, then do the buffet. As you can see, they have a good choice in healthy items. They have delicious desserts, and clam chowder.

Great food, decent price, and always clean with polite, courteous, and helpful staff. One of my favorite places to eat when I go out. Something for everyone, and it's always great!

Souplantation starts off your buffet experience with a DIY salad station. My younger brother (11 year old) always sticks to the same triangle shaped pizza in any buffet we went to. However because of this buffets main options being soups. He has now become a #1 fan of the Cauliflower soup. (Something I would never have imagined before) Thank you Souplantation for introducing children to healthier alternatives!

The food is pretty good here and the price for the buffet is fair. My one star down is for the cleanliness. Very often the counters are full of spilled foods. Also, they run out of toppings for the soups and potatoes frequently. Overall a good "bang for your buck" dinner place. Their variety of soups is always interesting and I never have trouble finding at least one soup to binge on.

My family of 3 went here for dinner and it was pretty expensive for what it was... We used to go to Souplantation all the time in Orange County, but I guess they've changed a few things since then. We paid close to 60 bucks for 3 people and drinks were extra... The food was just mediocre. The best part about it was the salad bar.. everything seemed pretty fresh at the salad bar. I tried almost every soup and the only ones i liked were the Broccoli Cheddar and Clam Chowder. The pasta wasn't very good, and they got rid of a lot of the desert items they used to have, however I have to say the blueberry crumble was BOMB. The service was good from the attendant at the salad bar but honestly i wouldnt waste your money going here and find a better "buffet"... For the amount of food they offer it's not worth the price.

I've been coming here since I was a child & recently I decided to gave my 21st birthday here & I had a fairly large party and I had called the day before to see if it would be very busy. They mentioned that they can't guarantee any spots because they don't reserve tables, completely understandable. But when I got there for dinner, they had set aside tables for my group. Thank you so much, you've made my birthday just a little better.

I placed a catering order online, It stated the Ultimate package: Includes your choices of two salads & dressing, 4 quarts of soup (w/ your choice of up to 4 soups), and your choices of pizza (two total) & prepared salad. Served with mac & cheese, your choice of bread, assorted brownies & cookies, iced tea, and lemonade. I ordered 2 Ultimate packages and 1 additional pizza and 2 mac-n-cheese. The store receives the order via a catering company and the additions to the Ultimate Package (mac-n-cheese, brownies, cookies and drinks) don't show on the store's catering order. I got to my party and was missing 2 mac-n-cheese (from Ultimate package, received the 2 additional I paid for), brownies, cookies and drinks. I sent a family member back to the store after calling to tell them and they came back to the party 1.5 hours later (only 15 minutes from party to store) and we still didn't get the drinks. The 4 quarts of soups should be offered in larger containers instead I had 8 quart size containers which was a mess. I don't blame the store too much as they only get what the catering company gives them, however they should know what actually comes in the "Ultimate package" I would probably order again, however, something better change with the online ordering because I paid a boatload of money and didn't even get the entire order, very sad and disappointed!
