Bar-like vibe to the restaurant. A bit too small and crowded for how busy it was. The tacos were amazing, but for the price there should have been more than 3.

We really wanted to like Local Provisions, but our experience was pretty disappointing overall.
First off, seating is very limited, and once we finally found a table, we learned there’s no table service. You have to go up to the counter to order. Right after placing your order, you’re prompted for a tip even though no actual service has been provided yet. If you want water, it’s self-serve from a metal container in the corner. We even had to ask someone to clear a dirty table just so we could sit down. It’s first come, first serve, and honestly a bit of a fiasco.
To make things worse, there was a pile of trash by the front door that looked and smelled bad, with flies and mosquitoes everywhere. Not a great first impression.
As for the food:
• Mahi tacos: excellent flavor, fresh, and easily a 9/10.
• Cheeseburger: just okay, maybe a 4/10. The bun and patty were solid, but the limp lettuce and lack of flavor were disappointing.
• Carne asada fries: skip them. They were drenched in nacho cheese with barely any carne asada flavor. We took a couple of bites and tossed them.
The timing was also off. The tacos came out after 20 minutes, and another 20 minutes later the burger and fries arrived.
The one bright spot was the sweet girl who cleared our table and brought our food. She was kind and helpful, and that’s the main reason this isn’t a 2-star review.
This valley has so many great dining options, and unfortunately Local Provisions just doesn’t measure up right now. I hope the owners take this feedback seriously, but for now, we won’t be returning.

Ordered the local bleu burger, and it was one of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile at a restaurant!

We stopped in at The Local Provisions and tried a few different things. My daughter had the pulled pork sandwich and gave it 4/5—good flavor but she wished it had more sauce. I had the veggie sandwich on focaccia, which was very flavorful and satisfying, and my son had the blue cheese burger with a side of Brussels sprouts. The burger was solid but could have used more blue cheese to balance the flavors. The Brussels sprouts, though, were the star of the meal—crispy, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious.
For sides, my daughter and I both had the garlic fries. They were fine, but we agreed they could’ve used more salt and definitely more garlic. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the counter-service setup kept things moving even though it was busy. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly, but that also means it can get pretty loud inside. We would have loved to sit outside, but there weren’t any open tables.
The only downside was the price—it ended up being about $80 for the three of us including tip, which felt a little steep for what we ordered. Still, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth trying, and we’d come back again (especially for those Brussels sprouts).

Do not come here! Spend your hard earned money somewhere elsewhere you will get a healthy portion of the food that you pay for! Ordered the Mediterranean salad and it was a pile of nothing but lettuce with four cucumbers and maybe three tomatoes! Definitely not worth the almost $14 I paid for it. There are too many other amazing places in the area for the same or less than half the price!! The young little Caucasian girl who was at the register, was VERY unfriendly and unpleasant, and the atmosphere was very dead and stiff. Don’t spend your money here!!

The place is small so can be crowded on a hot day, but it's cute. Lobster grilled cheese was delicious!

Hidden gem at Vail Ranch! Cute little place and the best lobster tacos I’ve had! I love the local wines and beer selections. Small inside and busy on the weekends but they serve you quickly and you can grab a table when someone leaves pretty easily.
