My honest review: It was decent (prices, customer service, food quality, texture, quantity, atmosphere including deco). Food comes fast. Will be back, just unsure when.
Things I noticed could improve:
-their desire to collect menus after initially ordering even after told I wanted to hold onto one for ordering dessert.
- wall deco of plates in Japanese words, so we weren't able to admire/comprehend the reason there were bowls on the wall
- waiters standing behind the desk at entrance, but seemingly looking directly our way as we sat and ate to a slightly awkward moment.
- felt just a little too quiet. Maybe the music volume could be slightly higher to lift the serious mood inside.
Hope this helps ๐

The OG of Ramen! This location has been my favorite since the early 2008 era. I still go to this place whenever I'm in the area!

Had the Tantanmen. It had a very earthy and peanuty flavor. It was medium heat spice. If you like ramen, you can't go wrong going to Ajisen.

I ordered spam musubi, Ajisen Ramen, ABC ramen and pork cutlet curry ramen. The best one among these items was pork cutlet. Other than that were kind of disappointed.

I've been going to this place for several years... prices has gone up a lot lately. The ramen hasn't gotten any better. There's other ramen stores out there that are cheaper. Expect to pay a lot for average food. Veggy ramen was almost 15bucks... I was eating the same veggy ramen when it was 10.95
Ajisen in Irvine was the golden standard for Ramen for me and my family. The spicy beef bowl was something no other spot had and was just addictive with it's flavor and profile. After Irvine ajisen closed we decided to make the trek to temple city one day. We'll today was the day, and I must say in comparison. The atmosphere is much dingier, the people are still delightful, however the food was much more tame, egg and beef were slightly cold while the broth was sizzling hot. The spicy Ramen both had 0 spiciness to it. It was good Ramen but a solid 3/5 as far as Ramen spots go, no complaints really but not the ajisen I use to hold as the gold standard. Will come back and try again another day. Perhaps it was an off day for temple city ajisen.

The broth is creamy but not too thick. We always order Ajisen Ramen #47 on the menu.
Quiet atmosphere and exceptional customer service.
Amazing noodles best one in los angeles
I got the pork ramen it was fire
Server took us to our table outside, despite there being multiple tables indoors, proceeded to ignore us for 10min despite repeatedly pressing and asking for water.
When confronted she responded with, "Uh there's only two of us." So I'm supposed just forgive everything because of that?
