Uber Eats breakfast order! Missing half of our meal, didn’t send the pineapple bun or chicken steak or lemon iced tea. Bummer. The items they did send were good though—the minced beef congee with Chinese donut and macaroni with ham and soup.

Approached this restaurant, food was very nice, and curated nicely. But the attitude of the server was below even baseline normal customer service. She first of all was fluent in Chinese so we forwarded to communicate in mandarin as this what she understood then acted like she did not speak this language. Afterwords, we continued to make our order in english, yet she did not understand what was being said, and made it very difficult for us to continue with completing with our breakfast order. Afterwords several times, we requested for additional food request yet she ignored and forced us to get up from our seats so we could get our order fulfilled. Once more i state food was of top class, but the service was below subpar.

Foods ok. Service was not good then it got even worse. When we got to the restaurant, we sat ourselves down, I got us a menu. No one came to us to serve until I wanted to order. The bill was $42 and I left no tips. This one server asked me “Why you don’t give me tips” I was like the foods bad. It was, the noodles I only took a few bites. She kept pressing on WHY WOULDNT I GIVE HER A TIP. I am not going to tip if you just order my food and bring me the food. She also never checked on us. Btw I am from Hong Kong and this type of service is worse than HK lol.

Looking for a taste of Hong Kong in the SGV? I checked out Alice’s Kitchen in Temple City and it really feels like dining on the streets of Hong Kong. The ambiance is super cool, with fake storefronts and shop signs that set the vibe. The menu is large, with a mix of Hong Kong cafe classics and Cantonese dishes. My friend ordered the fish maw soup and I had the baked pork chop rice. Both were delicious, generously portioned, and very reasonably priced. Service is standard for an HK cafe.

I came here yesterday for lunch with my parents and ended up being really impressed. Alice’s Kitchen might just be the best Hong Kong-style cafe in the SGV.

We ordered the baked pork chop over pasta with tomato sauce and cheese, salt and pepper squid and wings, and the salted crispy pork knuckle. Everything was delicious. The baked pork chop was comforting and flavorful with a nice balance of sauce and cheese. The squid and wings were crispy, well-seasoned, and perfect for sharing. The pork knuckle was the standout for me. Super crispy on the outside and still juicy inside. That said, the portions are a bit on the smaller side compared to places like Delicious Food Corner and some other HK cafes, especially given how good the food is.

Service was amazing because they kept coming over to refill our drinks and asked if we needed anything else.

For drinks, I got the iced lemon tea, which was refreshing and not overly sweet. My dad ordered the iced milk tea and coffee and enjoyed both. Solid HK cafe drinks that pair well with the food.

The ambiance is a big plus. The neon lights, wall art, and street scene paintings really make it feel like you are back in Hong Kong. It does get a little loud during lunchtime, but we were still able to have a normal conversation without raising our voices.

Parking can be challenging during lunch hours, but with a bit of patience, we were able to find free street parking because the free public lot fills up quickly. Overall, great food, great vibe, and definitely a spot I would come back to.

My brother took us here saying their HK milk tea and HK food is really authentic. He also exclaimed that the decor made him feel like he went to HK. He was right - the decor and food were spot on - and I’m looking forward to the next time we can go back when we visit LA! The servers were all very busy but super kind, especially Kelvin (I hope I got his name right) we love that the HK milk tea has free refills also!

We came on Christmas Day so there was a one hour wait.

The food was good and some waiters were cool too, but there was this one lady that looked really mean. Actually, there was a small little plastic piece in my food, and I guess the waiter didn't tell her boss and she still wanted a tip. When we didn't account the tip, she look genuinely displeased, like isn't the tip optional or something? Thats insane... Plus the light on the right of the order table was flickering and it was kinda annoying.

Had an opportunity to have dinner with family at this restaurant. The vibe is amazing and the food exceeded my expectations. The service was outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. Highly recommend.

Came here multiple times from Nor-Cal. The food is good, the overall dinning experience was good. However this one lady waiter was a nightmare. Came today around 10AM, ordered to go (since their spot always has long waiting list). When placing order, she always seems very unhappy, and impatient… I even gave some cash tips to cheer her up.

Was told the take out will be ready in 20-25 mins, I went out and came back around 10:35AM, I kindly asked her the take out is ready or not, she was nearly yelling at me, saying that - she cannot see the number. At this moment, I was really have enough of this; so I handed the receipt to her, she went to the take out deck; checked for nearly 5 mins; and came back told me - “Sorry, I think I gave your order to some random girl”.

If she was nice in the beginning, then I would be very sympathetic and understanding… but she was giving me a hard time since beginning.

It was raining today, hard to find parking spot, everyone are very frustrated, I think the least you can do is to provided some good service and smile.

Now I am waiting and sitting here, for her to “correct her mistakes” and she did not even do me formal apology.

I normally do not leave bad review for businesses, but if they keep doing this, I don’t think “good food” will be the only factor to keep the customers.

If you're looking for a genuinely authentic and cozy Hong Kong Cha Chaan Teng (cafe) experience right here in the SGV, Alice's Kitchen is an absolutely wonderful choice. The atmosphere is vibrant, the food is authentic, and the portions are incredibly generous—you're guaranteed to leave satisfied!
This place is truly a hidden gem. First off, the decor, complete with nostalgic Hong Kong memorabilia, creates a charming and unique atmosphere that genuinely makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. As for the food, they execute the classic HK dishes perfectly, but in a cleaner, less greasy style. You absolutely must try the Baked Pork Chop Rice in Tomato Sauce or the amazing Ovaltine French Toast for breakfast. The portions here are also incredibly generous, meaning you get great value for your money and often have satisfying leftovers! Even though the restaurant gets busy, the staff remains friendly and quick with service and drink refills (especially the signature HK Iced Lemon Tea).
CRUCIAL PARKING TIP (MUST READ!): You DO NOT need to battle for street parking on busy Las Tunas Drive. Alice's Kitchen has PLENTY of dedicated parking spots in the lot located behind the building.
