Out of all the Indonesian restaurants I’ve tried in SoCal (and believe me when I say I’ve tried them all, Banana Leaf is easily the best. The flavors taste closest to what I get back home, and the prices are fair considering the generous portions. Totally underrated spot! I recommend the nasi ayam penyet, it is my go-to!

Food was amazing, we ordered combination satay, grilled ikan bakar, mee goreng, tahu telor and nasi bangkus. Our party has 3 adults and one kid. The food portions were generous, so much food that we did not eat the nasi bangkus at all and took home. The bill came to just a little over 100 including tipping! Too good to be true, but it is true!

Of all the food we ordered, we decided we can pass on the ikan bakar but everything else is a bomb. The mee goreng which has the wok hei smell and tahu telor were delicious. The nasi bangkus tasted good even the next day. Highly recommend!

Rice is dry and there is weird object inside, kangkung is very small portion for that price, sambal is plain, chiken is dry. Ayam penyet used to be good. Wont buy again

They get upset and offended if you give them small tips. They expect big ones from you.

People who miss Indonesian food in their country can come here. The owner is an Indonesian native of East JavaThe mixed rice tastes delicious, for penyet fish the taste is standard. If you come here, you can try Mis dishesThe noodles are made homemade. The portions are big.Food prices are quite affordableVery good serviceOf the several Indonesian restaurants I encountered in LA, this is the better one. Here they also sell peyek, crackers, chips, fried bananas, etc. Indonesian snacks.

Delicious. Definitely runs spicy but I’m a fan. I got the Nasi Padang.

Very authentic Indonesian cuisine, just be aware that the cuisine is on the spicy side.

Find a different Indonesian restaurant! This place banana leaf scammed me with my online order. There was a promotion on uber eats for buy 1 get 1 free fried rice and they decided to charge me for both individually. They adjusted the price on the app! It shouldve been free! But yeah dont come to this place they will rob you! Also their food portion is stingy and mediocre.
