This is one of the best Indonesian restaurants i've been to in the 626. The food was very flavorful and extremely authentic. The service was very quick and easy. There skewers are a must try and one of the most popular items. I personally like the lamb skewers the best.

Pretty good Indonesian food in TC. I can't believe this is my first time coming! They have plenty of shared parking in the back but in case there's no spots, there's also street parking. The restaurant itself is pretty small so if you have a large party (7+ people) it might be tough to fit everyone. The service was great and everyone was so friendly. I ordered their deep fried hen with rice (I forgot the name of the dish) and it was tasty. The chicken was so yummy but a little on the dry side. This meals comes with a side of soup that was an acquired taste and not something I was a big fan of. If you check in on yelp, you get a free plate of their egg rolls.

Very impressed with the authenticity of the Indonesian food here. Good service and it's a small place inside, but I think on the off chance you're looking for a spicy, curry, rice plate... this is the place to go to. I can't describe the flavors but everything is so different from the kinds of spices it uses to being cooked in a banana leaf. It's SPICY so beware, but it is really good spice haha.

I would like to give them 0 star, came at noon and there were only 2 tables are dining. Absolutely no service, I don't know why the women kept disappearing, nobody cleans the table and nobody serves water Ordered two dishes and came after 30 mins, I don't understand how it can be so slow, there are no other customers here?

Delicious. Definitely runs spicy but I’m a fan. I got the Nasi Padang.

Place is small, food was ok and just average. I pass by this place everyday and always wanted to try the food. Not my cup of tea, I prefer Thai food. Food took a while to come out, looks like there's only 1 person working the front. I guess try this place if you never had Indonesian food.

Very authentic Indonesian cuisine, just be aware that the cuisine is on the spicy side.

A friend told me about this restaurant. The family is Indonesian so they come here for authentic Indonesian food. Be prepared to wait for 15 minutes or longer as they prepare the food from scratch. My friend also forewarned me about the wait. The portion is good to share with another person if you have small appetite. There were 2 Indonesian couples that came in who didn't know one another and started chatting away in Indonesian which means it's authentic Indonesian restaurant. I like going to restaurants where it's not Fusion style. Give them a try and support small business.

Find a different Indonesian restaurant! This place banana leaf scammed me with my online order. There was a promotion on uber eats for buy 1 get 1 free fried rice and they decided to charge me for both individually. They adjusted the price on the app! It shouldve been free! But yeah dont come to this place they will rob you! Also their food portion is stingy and mediocre.

Oh, my, what a treat this place was!! I am still new to Indonesian food, but when my Indonasian friend took mecthere, I could tell this place was really good! My friends told me that they eat a lot of fried food, but they tried to order non fried food for us this time. Also, I noticed most of them had strong/spicy flavor. I couldn't eat them without white rice. Food:Great!Service:It was really good!Parking:Street parking, but there are plenty of locations to park. Just watch the signs not to get tickets. I will be baaack!!

Their food is the best for those whose had homesick of their origin from Indonesia. I love their generosity portion for each meal. Not to mention as someone origin from Indonesia, I love spicy food and they gave me lot amount of the spicy chili (which I think it's the best and that would made me want to reorder again).Dietary restrictions: Their food is the best for those whose had homesick of their origin from Indonesia. The food was very good as it was the first time I went. The service nothing like the first time I went. The lady took our order of food but never asked if we wanted something to drink. I waited for her to come back but it was so long that I got up to go find her. Finally she came to the table and we ordered a couple of drinks. After food was served I wanted some sambal and waited again for her to come and check to see if everything was OK and waited and waited. Again I got up to find her and did not know where she was so went back to the table and waited again. Finally I saw here and waved her down. My experience was so far from the first visit when I believe was the owner of the place or at least she came off as one with her hospitality. I would go back as the food is good but hope the service is better.

Banana Leaf has been and continues to be one of our favorite eateries in the San Gabriel Valley, which is a mecca for Asian food. The Indo cuisine is not only tasty but at Banana Leaf it is well prepared and always tasty.
