This is my first time trying oaxacan food. So let’s see if they’re pretty good eh or ew. This spot is family owned and operated and I got their oaxacan horchata and enmoladas plate to try. They said they make the horchata from scratch and it was super pretty, sweet, cinnamony, vanillay, and milky with crunchy bits of walnuts and cantaloupe on top. The enmoladas plate came with fluffy rice and savory, earthy, creamy, rich beans. I love me some good beans. The enmoladas were stuffed with savory, tender chicken that helped to balance out the slightly smokey and sweet mole. This place is pretty good.

Loved this place! The food was delicious and served big portions. They serve complimentary chips and salsa and not just your basic salsa with pico, this salsa was very good not too spicy. Their coffee deserves its own paragraph 😂 first black coffee I’ve been able to drink! I think its infused with some kind of cinnamon sweetener. Very affordable authentic place, will be back!

Very authentic Mexican food.

The food was cold on the beef burrito that was ordered. It was clear to see the beef was a chopped up. Hamburger patty did not receive dinner plate until 20 minutes after everyone else was served staff was a two person team 👎🏻

I pass by this place a lot of times, but only ordered once. Not bad. I got some takeout, and it was alright. Decently priced too.

If you’re craving authentic Oaxacan food, El Ruizenior Grill in Temple City is a must-visit! I had the Oaxacan Mexican pizza with three meats—pork, beef, and chorizo—and it was absolutely packed with flavor. The combination of meats was perfect, and the cheese? Pure magic. Melty, gooey, and rich, it really tied everything together.

I also tried the chicken with mole, and it did not disappoint. The mole was deep, complex, and the chicken was perfectly tender. You can tell that everything is made with a lot of care and tradition.

The flavors here are incredible, and the portions are generous. Whether you're a longtime fan of Oaxacan cuisine or trying it for the first time, this spot is worth checking out. Can't wait to go back!

I had high hopes for this place, but the food just wasn't all that good and overly expensive. I was surprised to be charged for chips and salsa which they delivered to the table.

Great local place for Oaxacan food. Also great traditional Mexican dishes abuelita used to make.
