If it's not the weekend, it's pretty fast to get seated. The servers are quick and attentive. The food always hits

Expensive AYCE Shabu that’s come with 3 tier of pricing. The top tier beef is very tasty and literally melt in your mouth. I would suggest getting the mid or top tier because the lower tier quality you can probably get it elsewhere for cheaper. They offer sides but it’s limited to few items. You will only get 90 mins of time but the service is very quick to bring out dishes, so it’s sufficient. Overall it’s very pricey but offer high quality beef that you would not see in lower price restaurants, plus it’s ayce! We end up spending $150+tips for 2 people.

Upon entering and being seated, the server right away informed us that we have 90 minutes to dine in. This is seriously ridiculous, as a paying customer we have a time limit and can not enjoy our food in a conform manner. I just got up and left, i will not waste my time for a business that gives us that service.
Food was great. But service was horrible. Waiting at the front to check in with reservation. Host took a couple who came after me without reservation straight to the table. She didn’t ask who came first or if I had reservation. Didn’t talk to me at all. When I confronted her, I don’t feel any sorry from her.
I knew that the waiters were busy. But I had to ask few times to refill the hot tea. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t go there again.

I've had the pleasure of dining at two Chubby Club restaurants: Wagyu House by the X Pot and Chubby Cattle Monterey Park, both of which exceeded my expectations. Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House, another Chubby Club establishment, also boasts an excellent reputation, but with a separate membership program. It's a minor inconvenience.
Similar to Chubby Cattle MP, Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House is an intimate setting, making it less suitable for large groups. However, the restaurant's reservation system is a huge advantage, especially considering its popularity.
I would like to give a HUGE PROP to Bryant, our exceptional waiter. His attentive, friendly, and welcoming demeanor made our dining experience truly amazing. His outstanding service is a valuable asset to the restaurant, and I hope his contributions are recognized.
As an all-you-can-eat wagyu shabu house, Mikiya delivers top-notch service & food quality, on par with other Chubby restaurants. If you're a wagyu beef fan, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. We opted for the diamond tier, which granted us unlimited access to their entire menu. Each plate featured 2-3 slices of premium Japanese A5 wagyu beef. Bryant recommended starting with the diamond tier beef and seafood platter; we also ordered sweet shrimp, wagyu tartare, wagyu bone marrow, and foie gras. The sweet shrimp was exceptional and the wagyu bone marrow was fantastic. However, the wagyu tartare and foie gras didn't quite meet my expectations.
The seafood platter was visually stunning (IG worthy?) and featured an impressive array of scallops, oysters, shrimps, fish, abalone, and snow crabs. The scallops, oysters, and abalone were fresh and delicious, we even ordered an additional set. However, the snow crab was somewhat fishy, and the lack of tools to crack it open was inconvenient.
The A5 wagyu beef was unparalleled, and I highly recommend upgrading to the diamond tier. The value is exceptional, especially when compared to X Pot. Bryant suggested trying the silver tier Australian wagyu beef to compare the difference, and the disparity was quite distinct. While the Australian wagyu beef was still impressive, the Japanese A5 wagyu beef was top-rated for a reason.
At the end, I did not purchase a membership, primarily due to the underwhelming soup bases. We chose the spicy miso and Japanese tomato, but they failed to add any notable flavors to our meal. Condiments were good but not amazing.
Considering these factors, I would rate Mikiya Wagyu Shabu House 4.5 stars. While the restaurant boasts exceptional service and food quality, the intimate setting and limited table space made the dining experience feel more hectic.
Nonetheless, this is a solid recommendation for wagyu beef fans!

We ordered 2 $98 combo. The server missed our order twice. And put in two times same order. Only because we are two people, not 4 people?
Quality food. Great service from our server. However, I have an issue with the overall membership and "Chubby Cattle experience". I have a chubby cattle membership and I recently dined at Mikiya. I was under the impression that the membership is for all Chubby Cattle family restaurants and I was told that Mikiya requires it's own membership. That's really deceiving since all these restaurants are all part of the same company. I also have the chubby cattle app and Mikiya is listed as one of the restaurants. It feels like a scam to have to get a membership at each location when it's all part of the same "Chubby Club"
