Pork chops are paper thin. There's really not much meat. Rice with sauce is ok. The price has gone up a lot.

QQ Kitchen is my go-to for vegetarian Taiwanese food in the area, as there are a lot of veggie options that are delicious! Food is reasonably priced with their rice entrees being around $12. I've tried their vegetarian popcorn chicken and red chop rice. Both orders come with a side of cabbage, tofu, vegetarian minced pork (mushrooms), and a tea egg. The woman who takes orders/cooks is great. I walked in to place an order and my food was ready in less than 10 minutes. Note that this place is to-go and cash only!

Love the vegetarian options here. It's affordable compared to other places. They take to-go orders and cash only.

Introduction:I've driven past this location on many occasions and I never really got the chance to pay it a visit until recently. Desserts:In terms of desserts, when I'm here I usually get two things: tea jelly and Taiwanese shaved ice.Taiwanese shaved ice:Unlike some modern Taiwanese shaved ice that put mango syrup, strawberry syrup, and at times cereals, as their toppings, the shaved ice at QQ Kitchen is legitimate. When it comes to Taiwanese shaved ice, it's about toppings that are diverse, simple, and natural: beans, nuts, fruits, and jellies. QQ Kitchen has mostly all the classics: mung bean, red bean, aiyu [lemon jelly], pineapple, kidney beans, barley, taro, peaches, condensed milk, peanut, and grass jelly. I got condensed milk, barley, tea jelly, and taro. It's been years since I've had authentic Taiwanese shaved ice like this. A lot of the Taiwanese shaved ice nowadays is just too sweet. Legitimate Taiwanese shaved ice used to be much more common back in the 90s but some of the places that sold good shaved ice have since closed.Tea Jelly:Tea jelly, a treat I've often enjoyed as a child. Haven't had it in years and now I finally found a place that makes it well and right. The good thing about QQ Kitchen is they use quality tea to make the tea jelly and on top of that, they use roasted Oolong as opposed to fresh [green, less oxidized] Oolong to make it; thus it shows me the establishment has a decent understanding of tea culture and knows what orthodox Oolong is [if it's fresh green Oolong, then it isn't Oolong simply due to the nature of the tea's name]. This in turn leads me to believe they haven't lost their roots and the culinary execution of their dishes should also be authentic and good.Other recommended dishes:-Get their popcorn chicken*-Get their Pork Belly riceAmbiance:Mom and Pop shop, small hole in the wall gemService:Typical Taiwanese-style service: the staff are soft-spoken, polite, easy to talk to, and makes sure you have more than enough to eat when it comes to to-go orders.Price:Reasonable and affordable.

What used to be a Taiwanese snack bar is now a Chinese-style Taiwanese bento. The taste is a bit different, but it's still acceptable.

I picked up a few drinks for my coworkers while getting lunch here, unfortunately the boba milk tea was undrinkable - the milk tea itself was OK but the boba chewed with the texture that you know wasn't made recently. Worse yet, it has this rancid taste of cooking oil. My coworker spit out his first sip and ended up having to dump the whole thing. I tried it and can assure you he wasn't being picky. The food I got was okay, other drinks were too. Too bad the boba milk tea wasn't.

Authentic and reliable Taiwanese food in Temple City. You can't go wrong with a pork chop bento box at a reasonable $12. It includes fried yet succulent meat, a variety of classic Taiwanese sides, and even a free iced tea. Still, cash and take-out only.

I love shaved ice. So I come here at least 3 times a week. My boyfriend comes to pick up my shaved ice for me so often, they remember him and my order. It's cheaper and larger portion than meet fresh! The ladies here are also soooo sweet.

Very tasty Taiwanese restaurant and fast service. I came on a normal Monday and my order was ready in 10 mins after calling. The pork chop is on the thinner side, but it was delicious. I do like how they include a black/green tea with your meal. It doesn't look like they are going to open for indoor dining so it's just take out for now. If you order the stinky tofu, make sure you put it in a cooler bag or open your car windows. My car still smells.

The pork chop rice is big portion. We also ordered the green onion pancake and the stinky tofu. The green onion is kinda hard and it tastes really floury. Not really recommend. The stinky tofu is not bad, the smell is acceptable.

Authentic Taiwanese take out. The Salty duck eggs with loofah is great. Stinky tofu is a don't miss. The pork & chicken steak lunchboxes are affordable and delicious when hot. All meals come with a complimentary tea. Meal's complete except for soup.
