Mandatory tipping at a self-serve buffet with no table service feels unreasonable. Staff attention made dining uncomfortable. Likely won’t return.

First time eating in this seafood buffet. The food was plentiful, great varieties, some of food was very tasty. Dim sums were very good. Plentiful specializef coffee, fruit drinks.
The servers were not very attentive, playing their cell phones or talking to each other, not paying attention of what the customers eating or calling them.

Came here for their lunch buffet. You get wide selection of food choices, a lot more than your average Chinese buffet. The quality and taste is better too. A bit disappoint they don’t have crab legs as that was the main thing we came here for. It’s only available during the dinner time. But for $25 it’s well worth it. They have an upfront 10% service fee charge so they bill after tax end up be $30. I think it’s reasonable.

First time to this restaurant. My wife and I arrived at 6:40 pm on a Saturday.
Overall, the selection of food was decent and the taste was on par with other Chinese buffet restaurants.

The biggest draw seemed to be the BBQ station. Be sure to get in line early as the beef steak ran out by 7:45 pm when I was there. (Keep in mind the restaurant closes at 8:30 pm)

This was the first time I ate at Shiki on weekends (usually I ate here at lunch on a weekday). To my surprise, the food on today Sunday was much worse than on a weekday even though they charged much more for weekends. For a weekday lunch, I paid for 2 seniors less than $50 with special promotions recently but today for Sunday meal, all day cost $82 for 2 seniors (tax & tips of 10 percent included in the cost). They served crabs (salty & pepper crabs & steamed leg crabs) but the steamed crabs ‘ shells were so very difficult to break & the salt & pepper crabs were not good at all. There was a special soup for weekend but it was not good . The crawfish was average. The steamed fish was much worse than the kind of steamed fish on a regular on weekday lunch, probably due to different kind of fish. Also everything seemed to be saltier than usual. I honestly thought a weekend meal was not worth my money!

A higher end buffet that I went to...fresh large selection. Went for sashimi three plates full ;-) . Crab egg hand roll is unique. They have dragon fruit at the salad section!

Crab was good. Teppanyaki was good. Other items were mediocre.
