The food was absolutely amazing. My burrito was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor, while the BLT sandwich was out of this world—loaded with crispy, delicious bacon that really took it to the next level.
The service was outstanding, too. The waitstaff were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. To top it all off, they comped our drinks, which was such a thoughtful gesture.
Selvin has definitely earned a loyal customer in me. I can’t wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly recommend!

Amazing service! My waiter, Mack, was phenomenal! He was fun, attentive, knew what we wanted before we did and made the whole experience enjoyable.

Surprisingly great food and the atmosphere is very nice. The stuff is very observant. It’s nice to have extra space for bigger groups, so we could sit at a small table not being bothered.
We just shared 4 items and it was plenty of food! Prices are high but quality is doing it’s justice.
Would go again.

Nicest bar and restaurant in a hotel I've seen in a long time .. but it is very expensive with cocktail starting at $15 snd entrees in the $35 to $50+ range .. attracts an upscale older 40+ crowd. Worth considering or stopping in. We had cocktails but elected to eat elsewhere due to the prices.

I expected a fine dining experience but did not get anything remotely close to that. The place, replacing an Irish pub next to a motel is huge and noisy. Like Crawford Social in Westlake Village, the two bars are the main attraction. There is a room for private parties and what appears to be another space sponsered by a wine or champagne (I don't remember the brand) but the bars are the focus and attract a young, singles crowd. The restaurant has maximized the number of tables in the rest of the space to the point that you are almost on top of your next door neighbor. If you are looking for intimacy, go elsewhere. The food was unremarkable. We ordered the Cauliflower Symphony to start. It is a huge, colorful and overwhelming concoction of the vegetable (Roasted half cauliflower, candied kumquats, sourdough crumble, kale salsa verde, yogurt cream sauce) that was well intentioned but over the top. Steak Frites (8oz prime hanger steak topped with chimichurri sauce) might have been a good choice had the meat not been overdone. For dessert, the Chocolate Temptation (chocolate cake, chocolate, hazelnut cream, hazelnut crunch, chocolate glaze) was excellent, so the evening was redeemed in part. I think the restaurant will find its legs eventually when it comes to the menu, but the atmosphere impinges on the dining experience. I don't know how the management would remedy that, but IMHO, it needs to happen.

Just had our dinner there today. I ordered spicy shrimp pizza which is so salty. Also my husband got many mosquito bites within an hour. After he complained to the waitress and the front desk, none of them said anything. Sorry we wouldn't be there again.

Selvins Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the upscale and intimate ambiance, coupled with the elegant design, set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. The drink presentation is as refined as the restaurant itself, and the *Spirit for Spirit* (tequila) was incredibly smooth, a perfect start to the evening.
The food was flawless—each dish hit the mark. I started with the calamari, perfectly crisp and tender, followed by the steak frites, which were cooked to perfection. The baby kale salad was fresh and flavorful, and the penne alla vodka was rich and comforting. The broccolini rounded out the meal with just the right amount of crunch and seasoning.
Selvins balances top-notch food with impeccable service and style. Easily a 5-star experience. Highly recommended!
Parking: Large hotel parking lot adjacent to the restaurant.

Best place in Thousand Oaks. Well worth the wait of like 4 years for it to open thanks to Covid! Great food and atmosphere

Beautiful decor and wonderful ambiance. Service was very good. The food — not so good. We expected much better considering the prices. Three scallops swimming in a mushy white substance. Two overcooked burger patty’s smashed together under a stale bun with bread and butter pickles? Well, the sliced tomatoes were delicious. Pizza - sub-par. The kids chicken and fries were good. Maybe it was a bad night. We were there on a Monday.

After two visits, I'd rate Selvin's right where they are (4++). I'm rounding up because I don't want to bring them down from there. The food is very good here, the menus thoughtful, but service seems to be their struggle. Staffing a top restaurant is tough these days, and finding experienced fine dining staff is always a challenge in Ventura County (I've noticed a bit of turnover and hiring going on). It shows, unfortunately. I think they need some serious FOH management to bridge the gap with training. Nobody should be unaware of the proper sequence of service or how to open a bottle of wine at a place like this. On both visits there seemed to be a lack of management on the floor or touching tables. That being said, the atmosphere is great, the menu is interesting, and brunch was flipping fantastic (5 stars to dinner's 4+). Their benedicts are some of the best in the area, for sure! Hopefully, they'll continue to push and train staff and not just settle. We're hopeful to be regulars!

Incredible place to eat for nice occasions or events. We went for brunch on a Saturday and had great food and service. The restaurant is definitely upscale and pricy but well worth it for a special trip.
I would recommend the Khachapuri and French toast if you go go for brunch. The seating inside doesn’t offer much privacy. I’d recommend eating on their patio if the weather is nice
Kid-friendliness: It is a big place with room for strollers on the patio. If the restaurant was packed it might be a little tight for little ones
