Delicious Italian Ice and kind wonderful staff! My son’s absolute favorite :) people giving a 1 star because they don’t give samples is mind boggling. Support local businesses

My husband and I met the king himself! We are never let down by this place, they always have the best recommendations, the nicest workers, and the friendliest atmosphere! Don’t forget to buy a shirt ? They’re famous!

The actual Italian ice is horrible here it is not made with real ingredients it's all natural flavors and syrups . First time today . We bought 8 flavors . The passion fruit tasted like sugar lemon and orange the mango blah the strawberry was wack . The cocunut was OK but tasted cheap as possible . And yes not one piece of fruit like the other review wrote in here not one passion fruit seed mango fiber. Strawberry meat or seed . Cocunut meat nothing . No napkins. In bag I don't care just weird. The pint is the only way to go 4 flavors to choose from . The rainbow was like a bomb pop. Unless she gave us wrong flavor no idea why they called 4th of July flavor rainbow . Honestly u can hire me and we can make some awesome ice . What you are serving is Luigi garbage . I wonder if you own the pizza next door it looked interesting. Please do not write a smart rebuttal. The only way u can speak is through you product. Remember you are feeding children . I would say less flavors more cycle of flavors with much better ingredients and come up with some combos . I understand fruit is seasonal but you should too. You can't serve all fruits all year if you are using fresh products . Except for lemons and internationally outsourced fruit .And even though those cups are a hundred year tradition it through me off as well . That small pill water cup should be 2 dollars . If you want to serve it or buy nicer cups your pint container was beautiful . And you need longer more elegant spoons . Like Gelato spoons . . If you read this you should think about paying me. Or at least a high five and a gun slinger gesture saying my guy !Never been to New York maybe you want company one day ...

Delicious Italian ices and ice creams! They have dozens of flavors and all have been delicious. My kids love the rainbow and peach. I love the cappuccino among others. They also have great coffee beverages. The staff is always kind and hard working. My kids love coming here after their sporting events as the ices here are way better than anything they have at the fields. Also love grabbing a pie at Denino's next door!

Love this place! Along with Denino's Pizza next door - this new area reminds me of New York - Staten Island specifically. IYKYK.

One more instance where I just don't get it. So many 5-star reviews, and here I am with only 2 stars. Yet, I certainly wanted to like them. Since I am very familiar with Ralph's Italian Ices in NY, this place, Leone's, could have been much better... starting with the fact that they were missing a good 1/3 of their website-listed flavors (for the creme ices). Either update the website and remove what's not available... or do a better job of making the flavors available... especially during the holiday season. Also, when I asked about the flavors, I was told they were NO LONGER AVAILABLE, not that they were out of them. Whaaaaaat? THENNNNN.... TAKE THEM OFF YOUR MENU. Naturally, the 3 flavors I really wanted were no longer available. Figures. Most importantly, of course, the flavors I did try were just NOT well represented. Let's talk about the S'Mores... the employee said there would be graham crackers and chocolate chips and marshmallows. There were NO graham crackers and NO marshmallows, and it just tasted like watered down vanilla with mini frozen and (hard chocolate chips, which, by the way, I can't stand). It tasted NOTHING like S'Mores. Then there was the creamsicle... I tasted orange ice, and I tasted vanilla creme. The orange flavor was barely orange, and it should have and could have been mixed much better with the creme than it was. I could see the division of flavors and ice to creme. Having two separate entities is NOT what a creamsicle is about. They're combined and delicious when combined. This wasn't it. I also had peanut butter oreo. Peanut butter flavor was mildly there, but their version of oreo were those annoying hardened mini chocolate chips. (My husband got strawberry oreo... and had the same complaint about his that I had with my PB oreo.) What a waste. Last flavor was brown sugar crunch. The employee said she didn't know what was in it except brown sugar. I got it anyway, and yes, I could taste the brown sugar, but was that it? Just brown sugar mixed with ice and a little creme? Don't ask the worker. She doesn't know, and I don't either at this point. All four flavors were quite underwhelming, and they could have been A LOT BETTER. I know that Ralph's would have made them a lot better. I cannot comment on the true "water ices" because I didn't try any. Maybe that should be the way to go with this place. I don't know. I did like the texture of the creme ice (but for those chocolate chips), but the flavors were just so lacking, so I don't know if I can go back for more. This place unfortunately just didn't represent themselves accurately. I'm glad so many others like them, I'm just not one of them. Can't win 'em all, right?

My parents are from Queens, NY and it's hard to find good ice. The lemon, mango and chocolate ice are my favorites. Don't skip out on those. Haven't tried the creams or coffee yet.

All Hail the Quee... Errr I mean.. The KING! And I'm certainly not talking about Charles. I am referring to the Italian Ice King of California, Mr. Greg Leone. Greg grew up in the Big Apple (NYC), but his family roots are from Italy. His families Italian Ice recipes came to America in the 1920's where they served up Italian Ice in Brooklyn, New York. When Greg and his family moved to California, something was missing. And No, it wasn't his favorite Derek Jeter Jersey... Greg couldn't find the Authentic Quality Italian Ice that he grew up with and that is deeply rooted in his families DNA. So, he Crowned himself The Italian Ice King of California and is building his Kingdom to take over the World... o.k., maybe that's a little dramatic, maybe I've just seen one too many episodes of Game of Thrones... But what I can assure you is this place is worth its weight in Ice, errr I mean Gold! When the Italian Ice King first came to Thousand Oaks, I think it was bitter/sweet for Thousand Oaks Natives. This plot of land was previously occupied by Lupe's, a Mexican restaurant that was there for almost 70 years. But, as one business legacy came to an end, a new opportunity for a new business began. In my opinion... This spot is definitely a destination business. Despite it being on the main blvd. of the city (Thousand Oaks Blvd.), Its tucked in a bit and you may not even know its there unless you are looking. Well let me tell you, my kids might not know how to get there from our house, but as we are driving towards it and they finally see it from their car seats, their eyes light up with happiness and they know they're about to get their Italian Ice on. But don't be fooled... My wife and I like it just as much, that often its not just a treat for the kids, but for us as well. We've even taken family visiting from out of state here and they loved it too. Breaking down the menu They have either water ice or crème ice (which we've yet to try) Some of our families favorites are: -Cherry -Mango -Peach -Pina Colada & of course... -Rainbow The crème Ice flavors look interesting, rest assured they are on my to-do-list. So... Who is ready to Italian Ice it up with the King? I'll see you there. ;)

Updated 30oct 23. My original review was misleading. I was disappointed that so many flavors were out of stock. While the majority of their 60 were available, I wanted a chocolate and the menu listed many variations. But one by one I was told they were out.

Owned by the same people who have that nasty pizza place next door. They totally redeemed themselves with the charming and cool Italian ice shack. They have a nice little store front with a huge menu, and they are open late. I have been there multiple times, and I'm always excited to try a new flavor. Bravo

Hands down the best italian ice in Southern California! I have visited this establishment several times since it has opened and the flavor and consistency is always on point! The owner is a true gym and is one of the friendliest guys you will meet! If you are looking for the best italian ice, look no further! God bless!

Chocolate, lemon, pistachio not all mixed together. Might be a stand alone reason to visit from Los Angeles
