My friends and I came across this restaurant while searching for something that was still open late but wasn’t the usual heavy fast food 😭

Thankfully, we found Twisted Meats!

We were so relieved to find a spot that offered food that wasn’t overly greasy or heavy. Everything we ordered was phenomenal.

I ordered the lamb and beef wrap and added rice and falafel chunks inside. I love that they give you the option to have your meat and veggies over rice, fries, salad, in a sandwich, or in a wrap. Having those choices really helps depending on how hungry you are.

It can get a little pricey if you add a lot of extras like I did, but the generous portions and incredibly tender meat make it completely worth it. I ordered two wraps, and they lasted me two days(half for lunch and the other half for dinner).

I definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking for something open late that isn’t McDonald’s 😅

Also, a huge thank you to Miguel for preparing my wrap with so much care. He handled all of my add-ons perfectly and was very personable and kind. He’s a great addition to the staff!

One of the best places to eat in the county full stop.

If you like good food check it out. They import their flour from Germany and you can tell. Get the Donner Sandwich, add some of their chilli pepper seasoning if you likes little spice, and order one of there German beers and woooey!!

Twisted Meats is one of those places that instantly earns your loyalty.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel that this isn’t just another BBQ spot — it’s a place run by people who actually care about what they’re serving and who they’re serving it to. The meats are insanely good: perfectly smoked, juicy, deeply flavorful, and clearly handled by people who know exactly what they’re doing. Every bite tastes intentional.

But what really sets Twisted Meats apart is the people.

Lars and Ruben are absolute standouts. Warm, welcoming, genuine — the kind of guys who make you feel like a regular even if it’s your first visit. You can tell they take pride in their craft and in creating a place where customers feel appreciated, not rushed or treated like a number.

This is comfort food done right, with soul, skill, and hospitality that’s honestly rare these days. Twisted Meats has become a must stop for me in Thousand Oaks, and I’ll be sending everyone I know their way.

If you haven’t been yet, fix that. You’ll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. 🔥🥩

As both a German and a Turk, I can confidently say that this kebab is ice-cold and completely tasteless. Furthermore, $20 is very expensive. I definitely do not recommend it.

I was hoping to get a normal doner, but they gave me cold vegetables in pita bread. I'm very disappointed and won't come back again.

We've been here about 10 times now, and the food is always tasty. We always order the doner sandwich combo and the doner wrap combo, both with beef and lamb. The combo includes fries and a drink. The regular fries are always so crunchy, fresh, and well-seasoned. Their spicy sauce is delicious; it's the kind of spicy that isn't just straight heat—it's flavorful and spicy.

Also, if you drink and like sangria, you should try it.

This was my first time visiting Twisted Meats, and it was a great experience from start to finish. I decided to try their wraps, and it was really good fresh, flavorful, and very satisfying. You can tell they put care into the food, and it definitely exceeded my expectations.
I also want to give a big shoutout to Miguel for the excellent customer service. He was very nice, friendly, and made me feel welcome right away. He took the time to make sure everything was good and that I was enjoying my meal, which really made a difference.
Overall, the food and service were both amazing. I’m very glad I stopped by, and I’ll definitely be coming back again soon. Highly recommend Twisted Meats to anyone looking for great food and great service!

Looking for something better than the typical fast-food joint? This is the spot. As an L.A. transplant, I was excited to finally see something different in Ventura County. Their food is on point and staff is very friendly. I come here for the lamb and beef wrap and always leave satisfied.
They have German beers on tap too!

A totally amazing find! Cannot recommend enough. Their meats are very high quality, do not miss out on the Lavash bread. They even have cute water bowls for the pups (says my fiance).

Food was fine, just expensive. $60 for two adults and a child no drinks or sides of fries. Still wrapping my head around how we walked out spending $60.. didn’t dine in watch out for extras and their cost.

Ps fries taste like cinnamon.

One of the most overpriced places I've ever been to. At best, mediocre food (quality and amount) for a premium price. I spent $30 bucks and honestly threw most of it out because it was not at all fresh or tasty
