“In a city full of big name and high profile steakhouses, this one is the BEST. I've been multiple times but am highlighting last night's food selections. Starters included pork belly empanadas, a burrata dish with imported heirloom tomatoes and finally, scallops resting in some sort of creamy sauce made and sent from heaven. We ordered three cuts of steak for our party of five to share: 2.5 lbs of ribeye cap, a New York strip and a skirt steak. All cooked and seasoned perfectly. Sides included sautéed spinach, creamed corn and fries. Accompanied by multiple red Argentine wines, selected by their expert. The service is exceptional, as is the food. For passionate meat eaters, it's simply perfection.“
“I like this place because it has no frills. My friend and I ordered the cheese/onion pizza. My friend is from St Luis. She knows pizza. She said this was the best pizza she's had. I thought it was fabulous also. We shared a rib eye. She likes it medium. I like it rare. They cut it for us and cooked each separately. Calamari - delicious. We had tons of left overs too. The staff was friendly, accommodating and responsive, very yummy place to dine.“
“I've been here three times now:1. Where has choripán been all my life? The K-Town choripán is excellent. Mozzarella, kimchi and chorizo. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.2. Don't sleep on the empanadas. The kimchi empanadas are actually fire. Nice, golden-brown crust.3. The service is friendly: Explained the menu and offered me a free ice cream the first time I came by, then suggested a table with some fans nearby the second time when the primary seating area was a bit warm mid-summer. From chatting with the son a bit, learned the owners were part of the Korean diaspora in Argentina before coming to the U.S. some years back. Bless them for bringing this fusion excellence to the neighborhood.4. Shoutout to whomever did the artwork and menu design for the restaurant. It looks fantastic.“
“We stopped to grab a bite to eat at the New Buenos Aires Bakery and Cafe. We met the owner's son Gonzalo and he is a very personable young man. He told me that the bakery has been open for 10 years in this Burbank location, but the majority of their business is catering and as a bakery. They bake breads & such for the Gaucho Grill and several other restaurants. We ordered beef, chicken and spinach empanadas. Mom has never had Argentinian food that she knows of, so the seasonings were foreign to her. She found the taste of the beef. Empanada to be much more her liking than the others. Which makes sense since Argentina is known for their beef production. In Hawaii, eating canned corned beef is very common and most of it comes from Argentina. I ordered the sandwich with chorizo. It was Argentinian chorizo which is very similar to the Spanish and Portuguese chorizo that we eat in Hawaii. It's firm and in a sausage form not in the loose fatty form that the Mexican chorizo comes in. The bread was crispy and it had some chimichurri sauce and I doused it with even more sauce and enjoyed every bite. We washed it down with inca çola- my favorite Peruvian beverage. At the end of the meal, Gonzalo came to thank us for visiting and to see if there was anything else we needed. Several customers had come in and I was asking him what they were getting so he said pastry. This afternoon they had dulce de leche and custard. I told him that the custard sounded interested and I would order one after I finished packing up our leftovers. I was so surprised when he brought over two free custard pastries for us and he thanked us for coming by.How wonderful to be able to support small businesses that are doing their best to make it in a new country and in this economy. Kudos to this hard-working and sweet family.“
“I was craving empanadas and stumbled upon this place. It was a Saturday and I found parking easily in the adjacent lot but there was plenty of street spots open as well. The staff were so friendly. It’s cash only but there’s a gas station with an ATM across the street. The food came out within ten minutes and it was so fresh. I absolutely loved the flavors of each empanada I ordered plus there were plenty of vegetarian options for my friends. I will definitely be coming back!Vegetarian options: All clearly labeledDietary restrictions: All clearly labeledParking: Parking lot to the right just past the store frontWheelchair accessibility: All one level“
“Grand Casino’s take-out bakery’s pastries and empanadas are always so totally delicious. Their front patio is the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee and treat in the mornings. Been coming here for a few years and the quality of their food and service has always been excellent. Also- they play lovely music. :)“
“Absolutely thrilled to rave about my recent escapade to ACA Grill! The star of the show? The ACA plates! Let's just say, they had me at the first bite - tender, succulent meat that practically dissolved on my palate like a culinary magic trick. The spicy chicken and beef empanadas were a tantalizing tango of flavors, and don't even get me started on the dozen cheese balls that disappeared faster than I could say "cheese"!The charming, familiar home vibes of this place. Picture a quintessential mom and pop joint, where the owners personally ensure your happiness. Their warm and sweet service made me want to huge these individuals. And now, the disclaimer my fellow budget-conscious friends have been waiting for: while this culinary adventure might lean towards the pricier side, it's a justified splurge for the top-notch quality of meat. Also, it's an overall healthy meal: fiber, protein, and just enough carbs. In a nutshell, if you're seeking a culinary adventure that combines mouthwatering deliciousness with a hearty dose of hospitality, this Argentine BBQ joint is your golden ticket. Don't just take my word for it; go taste the magic yourself!“
“Yesterday I was in Sepulveda for an appointment and my wife and I decided to eat before we returned home. So we both searched for a great choice and decided to give this place a shot. From the moment we entered, and on every single bite we ate, we knew we would be back for more. The menu items for meals are so tasty and reminded me of what my great grandmother cooked, but (sorry Grandma) better. Then we sampled the pastries which were “world class” and even purchased more to go. We will be back, and I can already taste it in my mind. Glenn“
“The food is reliably delicious and as someone from Argentina I'm grateful to have a place to buy facturas. I highly recommend the empanadas & the parrilladas with mashed potatoes & creamed spinach. If you wanna indulge get the BA pizza or milanesas. It definitely gets busy so that's important to keep in mind if you're on a time crunch and it's lunch but totally worth it. It's a tiny space but I love browsing the market too.“
“My favorite Argentinian restaurant in L.A. with reasonable prices. I always sit at the bar, and the bartender is always very friendly, professional, and attentive. Water glass is always full, and she asks if I want another drink when my glass is low. Very good service here. Highly recommended.“
“The food is great, I’m not giving 5 stars because I don’t like it when they try to cheat. They charge you a service charge of 18%, I supposed that was the tip, but then at the end they give you the option to tip again. Is the service charge for the owner?“
“I have been eating these empanadas for years at the Mar Vista farmer's market, this time I got to get them at the restaurant always tasty, fair price , and excellent service!Vegetarian options: I love the margherita style empanada, mozzarella cheese, tomato and basilKid-friendliness: Empanadas are good size , kids can satisfy their hunger as they go , 1 or 2 empanadasWheelchair accessibility: The ordering window is at the curb level no stairs or elevator to order or get your food“
“I believe a 5 star rating is not good enough to describe how tremendously great this place is in every single way!The place itself is very neat! Very nice decorated and it even features music of Camilo Sesto. Hopefully sometime they'll play Sabina and Perales ? (j/k)The service is OUTSTANDING! That includes each and every single person who works in the place; kitchen, front, and one of the owners (a lady with glasses). They are VERY CARING about their customers! They always greet me with a smile and a welcoming attitude. The prices are decent, what I like the most are the portions they serve (very satisfying!)One time they made me wait (I didn't mind) and they gave me an empanada as a courtesy.Even though I live in Inglewood, this place is worth the trip, they made a new frequent customer.Congrats to everyone who works here!!“
“OH wow! What a hidden gem! The staff is warm, helpful & they welcome you the minute you set foot inside. Impeccably clean, great music, & romantic vibe. The service was amazing & food was served reasonably fast. House made pasta with my dish was so flavorful. I practically licked my plate clean. The server checks up on you. Asks if you have any questions & was super attentive. Not to mention offered a extra glass of wine on the house. The coconut flan dessert was so delicious & yummy!“
