Nice, relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff can't make up for mediocre food, high prices (like everywhere, sadly) and, many may find, limited menu choices. Had the chicken pesto sandwich which was pretty tasteless and only average size for $15 (side salad was some mixed spring greens with maybe a drop of dressing. Would a cucumber or a coupla red onion strips have killed them?) My co-diners had a barely-there duck sandwich and the chicken champagne salad (I ate some too, it was dull and light on chicken). Won't return but I hope they improve because it's a pretty huge space. So many better places to eat in this neighborhood. Sorry, folks.

Growing pains? I know they just opened but it's kind of a mess. The food was JUST OK and very pricey. 50 bucks for breakfast. Not enough chairs for the tables. They ran out of coffee cups. The food runner didn't check the order and brought us an incomplete breakfast. The coffee was awful. The water and condiment station was a mess. Ambiance? There is none. The tables were not cleaned. They put clean utensils in a dirty square cup on the table...I had high hopes but the overall experience was mediocre. The counter servers who take your order were very friendly and fun, and that's about all I can say on the positive side...for now. I'll try again in 6 months, when hopefully, they've gotten it together.

Food here is excellent. Had breakfast this morning. Spinach/cheese scrambled eggs with side salad, potatoes, toast and raspberry jam. All very yummy. Coffee was also good. Especially enjoyed a rustic apple tart (only available weekends; sells out early).Service leaves ALOT to be desired, from not having enough menus available for those in line to order, having to wait in line to order, not having coffee available after ordering & not having it brought to table when told it would be, having to serve oneself for cream and water, having food brought to table but not placed in front of guest, no coffee refills, unfriendly staff, except for one male (unfortunately no name tags so can't acknowledge him personally or mention the rest with attitude issues).Atmosphere okay, but tainted by toxic staff and place to be seen attitude of some guests.Overall, the food is great. Not sure it's worth it given service issues. Will not be leaving tips in future should I decide to give them another chance.

Love the combinations of flavors! And, it's healthy. So glad they've reopened. Can't wait for the wine bar and pizza oven to be ready!

Service was great! I liked the setting.. it was spacious and plenty of options to sit. I loved the breakfast burrito and would highly recommend. Only reason why I give this place 3 stars is the iced matcha latte... it was horrible. Tasted like water plus I waited so long for it. My food came before my drink which was weird. I literally had to go home and add some flavor to it because my god I couldn't bear to sip it!

The best compliment i can give to their food is that it's kinda edible. We have ordered the breakfast sandwich (with sausage) and the buffalo chicken wrap. To best way to describe the chicken wrap is it was like those cold pre-packaged wraps you get at a grocery store. I barely ate a few bites of the wrap and simply couldn't finish it. The breakfast sandwich was the equivalent of the sandwiches you get at Starbucks. Bland egg and awful tasting sausage slapped in-between 2 pieces of bread. The side salads, well it wasn't really a salad. It was basically the spring mix you get at ralphs drizzled with some dressing. I'm not sure if the chef has tasted his own food or not, but probably wouldn't be a bad idea to do that so you can see what you are serving to your guests.

They just moved into a larger location...so now you can find a seat. The food is fantastic and atmosphere is great.

We went for lunch ordering a chicken pesto sandwich and and a greens with chicken salad. Pesto sandwich was nothing more than some dry rotisserie chicken, pesto spread and greens with no taste not eatable. Salad had the same dry rotisserie chicken and some greens with no flavor. Also the place smelled like a campfire from the starting of a wood burning pizza oven.

Saddest latte I've had in a long time. Ordered the Mexican Mocha to go, was excited for the espresso and the Mexican chocolate. It tasted like watered down warm milk-- there was a hint of espresso flavor at the edges, but there was clearly not a shot of espresso anywhere to be found. Likewise there was a hint of chocolate in the watery foamed milk, but that was it, spiced or otherwise. I came home and made a shot of espresso and poured it in, but what a bummer. I was in the car driving away before I tasted it, otherwise I would've asked for a re-do. But while I was waiting for my faint echo of a latte, I witnessed a member of the staff kindly help a little girl who wanted banana bread but was allergic to peanuts-- the kid was a sweet little bunny rabbit and the guy helping her was so patient and thoughtful in making sure what she chose wouldn't kill her-- so three stars for that guy, but heck: Get the banana bread and skip the coffee, that's what I learned.

First time to Sweetsalt! I came to the reopening mainly because Frank Bonventre, former head pastry chef for Wolfgang Puck, the Oscars, and Joan's on Third, is now the new pastry chef!! I was excited...Mr. Bonventre is a legend in Los Angeles and Sweetsalt had become a go to place for breakfast (they serve it with a salad side!!!) and lunch. Gorgeous place...who knew the this old building in Toluca had such great bone!!!??!! Service was great and friendly...and the food...OMG (I had the lettuce cups, flourless chocolate cake, breakfast muffins). It was soooo delicious and reasonably priced... Such a great meeting place. It's a magnet for people of all ages...what a find!!

After an errand nearby I had to check this place out cause it looked so nice from outside. Sure enough you go in and see these good looking cookies and pastries on display. Scones ,banana bread, muffins and more. They also serve coffee drinks and tea. Their food menu is full of delicious sandwiches, salads etc... I ordered Buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it. Served warm with a side of mixed green salad. Really good. There are many things that I wanted to try but I chose this. Great customer service as well.

Servers and atmosphere are nice. Clean inside, but obviously still finding their way. Looks like they are installing a Pizza Oven for future use. On a cold day the Heater was obviously nonfunctioning, or the temps were set in the low 60's. Tomato bisque and Grilled Cheese were unimpressive... Soup barely warm with overabundance of Basil flavor, and the grilled cheese was actually cold, with a giant, solidified glob of cheese starting to dry out, along with overtoasted, bone dry bread (think cut the roof of your mouth while eating). Serrano Ham and Fig sandwich was OK, but unimpressive. The ham was stuck all together like it was pressed, and way too much fig dressing overwhelmed the sandwich. Bread was good. Presentation and assembly can be SO MUCH better! Overall, I think this place has potential and hope they take the feedback seriously. Willing to give it one more chance in a few months, but going to steer clear for a while until they figure it out. Best of luck to this place!

There back!!!!! Only open for lunch but that's not stopping the crowd. The food is great as always. The website says they are working on getting open for dinner. I'm look h forward to trying the dinner selections. .

It's open in its new location. I love the new space and decor. My only complaint is that I wish they would offer a milder coffee blend. Their "medium" is more like a very strong BOLD. People are nice.
