Sweetsalt Food Shop Reviews
A place full of positive energy
Best fire Pizza. Highly recommend if you like pizza. Also other great choices.
The food and service were OK. The food used to be better when they were at the smaller place further west.
I had a kale salad with salmon and a truffled chicken panini that had prosciutto and cheese, and a slice of pizza We also ordered regular fries and lavender fries.
The salad was ok, the fries were warm, hard, and rigid, the lavender fries tasted just like the regular fries. The pizza and the truffle chicken painini were awesome!!!
The service was prompt and cordial.

Sweetsalt Food Shop is a popular spot with a welcoming atmosphere, located in the heart of Toluca Lake. The restaurant features a fantastic pizza oven, a wine bar, and a talented pastry chef, Frank Bonventre, who brings his expertise from Wolfgang Puck and other renowned establishments. The menu includes delicious offerings such as a simple fennel sausage pizza with a perfectly toasted crust, a great chicken sandwich, and a variety of sweet treats like flourless chocolate cake and breakfast muffins. The coffee is also a hit, with a highly recommended vanilla oat milk latte. The new space is beautiful and offers a relaxing environment for solo eaters, get-togethers, and family dining. The food remains consistently good, especially the spinach omelette, salad, and toast. The dinner menu offers tasty options like the salame pizza (great if you like spicy foods), fennel sausage pizza, salmon with pesto pasta, and roasted broccoli, with desserts like tiramisu and coconut cake. The service is friendly, and staff are always helpful, making sure waters are refilled. Customers have praised the sandwiches, like the Shortrib sandwich and Steak and Blue on baguette, and even mentioned the surprising quality of the Japanese Lager. With reasonable prices, Sweetsalt Food Shop is a great place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, attracting people of all ages and making it a perfect meeting spot.
