85°C Bakery Cafe - Torrance

Rcently, I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday. He went to pick up the cake, but they told him he needs to chose a different cake because they didn't have the one we ordered. Not sure if they didn't make it or they gave it to someone else, but that's very unprofessional. They didn't send an email/call to let me know ahead of time. My husband was at the bakery at 5 pm, the exact time I told them it will be picked up. I'm so disappointed of the service. I will never buy anything from them or recommend the bakery to someone.
After I posted my review, I received two free slices of cake from the bakery as compensation.

Self serve breads in individual bags and they recently added a drink kiosk! Love their boba with blended taro

Their coffee sucks
Too many Asians in one place might get into accident just entering parking

There is only about 7 tables with maximum four seats each for dining in but the style of 85° bakery is that you get your own food and then you pay for it and the ham and cheese and the Hokkaido cream bun and the new chocolate cream bun and their strawberry cakes and their Hokkaido cloud cakes are off the chain they are so delicious and their drinks are really good too if you like boba and if you don't like boba they have frappe coffee type drinks as well the people that work here are a little awkward and kind of weird but they are friendly albeit not your typical outgoing Starbucks person the back door has a sign that says this is not an exit please don't open but it does so you can go out that way if you want because there's parking all around the bathroom has a really cool Dyson Air dryer it's not the typical ones that you usually see it's actually connected to the faucet so it looks like a plane's wings actually coming out from the side of the faucet and I don't really know what that has to do with the 85° bakery but it's just something that I noticed about this place.

Parking: 85 is located within an outdoor plaza style retail business park with plenty of parking

I like coming to this location, the customer service is always great here. The coffee and other delicious drinks they have are soo good! Overall, real great experience and not to mention a lot of seating. Let's not forget their delicious bread and a good variety as well. They always have my favorite one, the Hokkaido Custard bun ?

I haven’t been to the bakery in so long i returned and received horrible behavior especially from this guy here , I got horrible looks and wouldn’t help me when I needed it . Not sure what kind of day he could be having at 9 am but we are deeply disappointed in how my family and I were treated this morning , he didn’t say excuse me when putting the bread up and just was completely in the way and not being helpful at all , maybe this is not the job for him . best regards .

Delicious pastries and cakes. I especially love the coffee and tea drinks. Service is friendly and efficient. It has its own free standing building in a strip mall in East Torrance. The mall has a lot of vacant spaces and there are occasionally homeless persons in the parking lot.

Pastry is incredibly tasty and fresh, wide range of different sweets and buns. Also you can order different drinks with different options. Workers are friendly and you don’t need to wait long for your order. They have a little patio outside so you can sit and enjoy your sweets
