For $16 I would have expected better potions and quality. The poke was OK but it was about a spoonful’s worth. I would have gotten a better deal from a poke place at a shopping mall food court. My husband got a chicken bowl that was just so dry.We were both still hungry after eating it. For what we paid, it was just not enough. And it’s only a takeout place so no seating area at all. Disappointing.

Their el Segundo location has a nicer vibe. We always get the poke to go (no where to sit to eat). Quality is good but you only get the premade poke over rice.

Ali'i offers reliable, no frills poke bowls. The fish itself is fresh and tasty. Just poke and rice alone was pretty steep in price, so I chose to forego the additional toppings costing more than a dollar. The interior is small with no seating, so it's a grab and go type deal.

Was in the area and saw this place while driving to another destination. Decided to give this place a try. Did the Spicy, Hawaiian and Yuzu Salmon. The flavors were mostly good. The Spicy was a tad salty. Did I taste miso in it? I did not care for the texture of the salmon. Citrus typically cooks the protein so while the flavor was good I didn't like the texture of the salmon. I would say the quality and texture of the tuna is good for being a previously frozen product. It's interesting how people don't know the difference between fresh and freshly prepared.

Came here on a Sunday night to takeout ~15 minutes before they closed and they had already cleaned everything out and wouldn’t take my order.

Fresh and authentic. The freshest poke we have ever experienced. Not cheap. You are going to pay for all that freshness, but man, you owe it to yourself to try this place at least once in your life. It tastes like fish just pulled out of the ocean and cut on the deck of a boat, and then thrown into an amazing poke recipe right before your eyes. I would drive to Torrance from Long Beach any day of the week just to have this again.Staff is warm and friendly.

Got the Onion Limu Ahi (soy sauce with onion) and Lava (spicier mayo). The poke here is premade meaning you can't customize but the flavor of the sauces are able to marinate into the meat more. The soy sauce poke was a bit salty to eat on it's own but would be good with salad or rice. The Lava was slightly spicy 1or 2 on a scale of 5. Pretty good overall. Might come back for the other flavors.

The seasoning was average, but the rice was dry and hard. It's great that you can mix it up with salad and rice! There was also a generous amount of tuna.

Just checked out this gem I found in Torrance! It's kind of hidden because there's a Starbucks drivethru next door. Service is super fast and efficient because it is takeout. The poke there is super fresh and it almost makes me feel like I'm back in Hawaii! There's this also this new drink that they made called the POG slush and it tastes exactly like the passion orange guava Hawaiian sun can. It's super refreshing and it goes great with the poke! I will definitely come back coming for more its definitely a must try if you are ever down in Torrance!

Living on O'ahu for the past three years, I was excited to try this place just down from me now in Torrance. I got the Surf and Turf Bowl and with Huli huli chicken and spicy ahi. I watched them prepare the bowl... It appears that they got the rice from a cooler. Then the bowl went to the back kitchen where I presume they were preparing the chicken. Once the chicken was in the bowl, the worker put the poke in the bowl. - Chicken was cold. I presume they used already cooked chicken and just placed it in the bowl. - Rice was room temperature -- as if it's been sitting there. - Poke was tasty. Flavors of the bowl were good but I knocked off two stars for the rice and chicken.

We drove about an hour to try out this spot, because we really love Hawaiian-style poke. Wow! The service was great. The cashier allowed us to sample each of the fish, and that really helped in ordering. I ordered the Ginger Soy Tuna (my favorite) and the salmon. My friend ordered the Lava and Hawaiian Tuna. I added crab meat to my poke bowl and my friend added seaweed salad. We also ordered the chips and smoky tuna dip, which I didn't really care for, but my friend liked it. One downside--my white rice was a bit hard and dry! My friend's rice was fine. I wish they used sushi rice, but the fish was still sooo delicious and soft and melted in my mouth. There's no seating here, so it's not someplace to sit and enjoy your food. You'll have to order and then sit in your car or find someplace else to enjoy the food. I'll be back!

I had been hearing about this spot from many different people so last week I finally convinced my boyfriend to bring us home a couple bowls. I thought the fish was pretty fresh which is important! But we are talking like 2 ingredient bowls here. You have the fish part and then rice (or salad). The rice was so bad. So many hard uncooked pieces. I had what would have been a hopefully filling meal became a light snack because I couldn’t stomach the rice. Boyfriend did not enjoy his rice salad combo either, and didn’t find his fish to be as fresh as mine. When half the dish is inedible it’s a no for me.
