This place is my favorite lunch spot. Great food, good environment, quick service! They have different daily specials. Try their chicken curry on Thursdays which is my favorite!

They sell trial size over-the-counter meds, which saves a trip to the drugstore. Very convenient!

Came here on my break and found this place to have good food and service. The grilled fish for today's lunch special was exceptional.

Actually found this on Yelp as a last minute place to have lunch. When I saw it was in an office bulding I expected the worst. However, I still went in and had a great soup and salad for lunch. The menu is quite large for a small(ish) place, the food we had was excellent, and the service very quick and friendly. I will go back and will recommend to others.

Excellent Cafe for breakfast and lunch!! Love their food and their service is top notch! They still serve you on real plates with real utensils if you eat in! Such a treat! Love their breakfast burritos and their wraps! Their coffee drinks are excellent also. Great food, great people and excellent service, you can't go wrong having a meal at this nice spot in Torrance.

Just down the street, walking distance, I eat there about 3 to 4 times a week, I love their food, specially their daily specials. Healthy food, not greasy like other cafes, excellent service, very accommodating, the staff is awesome and friendly, totally recommend, specially their fish tacos on Tuesday's. mmmmm delish. I also like that they provide Wi-Fi, I cant watch my favorite shows on Netflix while I'm at lunch.

TERRIBLE SERVICE and food is okay at best! I've bought lunch from this location on 2 occasions thinking maybe the first time was just a one off. Tried it again and the lady who picks up the phone is VERY RUDE when you ask what they have for lunch and what the sides consist of. She rushes you off the phone and doesn't even give you a time frame on when your food will be ready so you just have to guess. Once at the location, the service doesn't improve much. The PRICES ARE HIGH for mediocre food. A "lunch special" chicken (with barely any) burrito should not be almost $9 and not even include a fountain drink! Although the location is walking distance from my location, I'd rather walk a little more and got to SUNNY'S CAFE in the next building (Bank Of The West) where the staff and Sunny are very helpful and provide great service on the phone and there. The prices are also much better and include a drink with their lunch specials. SECOND AND LAST TIME I GO TO CAFE CITY!

Nice place to get lunch near work...

Cafe City is one of the few walking distance from my work. So, when I want to get something close, I wander over here for lunch. The cafe is located inside the Citizen Business Bank on the first floor. They usually have daily special, which is what I typically get. (The daily special seems set for each day. So every Monday has the same daily special.) My favorite is the chicken curry on Thursday. The curry has a little spice to it, which makes it tasty. It also comes with a side and usually get the salad, which is greens with some dressing. (Sometimes the curry runs out, so make sure to get there before 12:30) When I am not interested in the daily special, I usually get the chicken pesto sandwich which is also pretty tasty. Everyone seems very nice and the service is usually pretty quick, even on days when it is really busy (rainy days seem to be the most busy). I always walk here so I do not know what the parking is like. But I do know that there are visitor spots in the parking lot, so for those you driving, you can park there.

Rae G. is the coolest Cafe queen, because she remembers what people want and her staff get food ready fast. Cafe City is a small breakfast and lunch place on the first floor of the Citizen Business Bank building. Most people are here to grab snacks and lunch to go during their busy work days. The place is usually packed during lunch hours but that won't slow the flow of food to your hands. My favorite items: Chicken quesadilla Turkey panini with avocado Cobb salads Snacks and drinks: Muffins, cookies, fruits, packs of chips and nuts.. Soft drinks, energy drinks, freshly brewed coffee. Other convenient items: Greeting cards A few common and over-the-counter meds There are specials everyday-- usually a main item plus fruits or salad as side order. The special is always under $8. I'm the duchess so you know it's my go-to place.

The only thing this place has it going is that its convenient for the people working at the buildings near Harbor Gateway. Though besides that I always dreaded going here, and the only reason I went here is because of convenience. I ordered their food on the menu and there were times they said that they don't serve that any more or it is different. For example, granola cereal with fruit and vanilla yogurt was on their menu. I order that specifically but they give me blueberry yogurt. When I pointed it out they said that's all they have and they never serve it on vanilla. My question is if they never serve it on vanilla why it is on the menu. Even cafe drinks, I think they make their green tea latte really well, so I ordered that once during their lunch hour rush. They said that can't be made because only one person can make it and I have to switch it up. Then don't put it on the bored that everyone can see it and order it at any time. I felt that the only way I can get the food for sure is to see what is in front of me and the special's, besides that I know whatever they say the "have" it, is not true. You will need to ask before you order if they have it or have plenty of back up just in case they don't have it -even though it is on their menu.

I eat here pretty frequently, about 3 times a week. They seem to understand that people have a limited time for lunch and are very accommodating in getting food out quickly. Pretty sure you can call your order in, too. You can also buy energy drinks here, all you caffeine junkies. Food has always tasted fresh and well-made. The owner and her staff treat their customers well, so I keep coming back. If you're a big eater, you might need to order some extra items. A large sandwich by itself doesn't always leave me full. Then again, I'm a fat a** who skips breakfast so most people would probably be satisfied. Fridays seem less crowded than other days which is nice.
