I was never a big fan of gopchang, as eating intestines was a bit icky to me. However, this place has changed my view on gopchang! I think the places I had gopchang before had poor quality meat/intestines as it never tasted "fresh" or of good quality. I felt that thus restaurant had good quality meat and every side dishes they had was very delicious. The dwenjangjjigae was the best part of the side dishes along with the radish kimchi. Not only was the food amazing, the service was outstanding, as the servers were very attentive and kind. Would def come back for more gopchang!!

Soooo good! I love gopchang but a lot of places will say serving size for 2 and my husband and I may leave feeling not completely full. But the serving size for the medium combo is nice and hefty and we always leave feeling very satisfied and happy. The gopchang here is always delicious and service is awesome. Highly recommended for your gopchang fix

(gopchang, makchang, yang gopchang, daechang, you name it) BUTunfortunately, Bay Area sucks when it comes to CHANGs.(Bay Area is so effin stingy and does not know how to prep intestines PROPERLY),in fact, Bay Area doesn't have makchang nor yang gopchang at all.I'd say Bay Area charges around $60+ for small portion of low quality gopchang & daechang.Well! i've heard great things about HAK SAN in the past from friends in LA and social media. Personally discovered their frozen CHANGs distributed by WANG in K-Markets recently.My friend and I really wanted to check this place out and finally found the opportunity over this weekend.We of course did some researches on HAK SAN in advance. We are fully aware of their Yelp/Google reviews but despite their negative reviews, we still wanted to give it a TRY. (We actually don't give a crap about reviews lol - you don't know it until you TRY IT for yourself!)We obviously got the Gopchang Combo - Medium - gopchang, yang gopchang, and makchange (we skipped daechang because man, who doesn't know about "daechang", it's literally made of fat!)Man.....we were SO blown away when we received our food including the side dish! The quality, presentation, portion, everything was just so AMAZING!!Totally got us JAW DROPPING.We have never seen authentic CHANGs in the US before.Yes, in Korea but NOT from here at least.Because the CHANGs were SO freakin good, we were like...."OKAY, let's try DAECHANG" ordered it with no doubt on top of combo.We usually can't even finish something considered "SMALL" portion herebut we nailed it! Came to Haksan today, and .... I am leaving blown away yet again!Our family ordered gopchang, 꽃살, bibim naengmyun... and it was so delicious! Our server was so sweet, attentive, and quick - which was great!! Haksan is a go-to restaurant when in the area!! Also, the bibim naengmyun with gobchang... is the perfect bite, delicious!!!
They have beef sashimi, and it was a disgrace. They shouldn't use the wrong meet for this dish. It was chewy and awful. It's really bad.

Super delicious! The small intestine comes out already fully cooked while everything else is still cooking on the plate they bring out. You can choose which intestine you like out of the three choices. Their restaurant is connected into a plaza so there is plenty of parking. The servers were helpful but not super attentive, however, there is a service button available if you need something! Another plus is that they have antibacterial wipes which I really appreciated.
