This is a cute little restaurant tucked away in a shopping mall.
The food was great and the service even better. I highly recommend this place if you're a Ramon person.
Kid-friendliness: I brought my son and my nephew and they both loved it.

Tried their black tonkotsu, traditional tonkotsu, tonkotsu mentai, and karaage chicken. The chicken pieces are very large, served extremely hot out of the frier and very crispy. The ramens were good, but not amazing. Tonkostu mentai is very heavy on the garlic, the tonkotsu broth was light in the flavor for me. The pork ain't as good as I would ve liked and very thin. Feels a bit like a thickish cut of ham. Not much toppings included in base prices, egg is extra, adding their topping packages makes it quite pricey.
Service was pretty quick everytime I ve been. Place was full but never had to wait for a table.

Got a Black devil Ramen. The highlights were decently priced, ambiance is unpretentious and good service. Improvements - Ramen felt like a supermarket flavor - not super fresh, Super Thin Chashu, flavored egg is kinda bland and slightly overdone to be used in ramen.

Always coming back to this ramen place. Genuinely the best ramen in SoCal and it tastes almost identical to ramen in Japan.

Tried this ramen shop out since I was in the area and seen good reviews. Located in a shopping mall in Torrance, ample parking in front.
Went here for a late lunch, they had lunch special sets so tried their popular Black Tonkotsu ramen set with fried rice. You cqn customize your ramen by filling out the form before you order, so I added an egg and extra charsiu pork.
Ramen came out quickly, noticed that the charsiu pork slices are rather thin than I am usually accustomed to.... But they ramen was good, broth very thick and tasty. Fried rice was expected.
Price was on point for what was ordered.... A generous 4 stars?

They have a Summer Vegetable Tsukemen that can be made vegan. Very refreshing and light.

One of my favorite spot. If you like pork base ramen is a must go. They do have other great options. Their points system is great, can get free items and discounts.

Legit. Highly recommend.
I'm going to try and find the original shop in Fukuoka Japan, also.
Update: I found the original shop near the Fukuoka Hakata station. Please view my profile for that review! ?

Hakata Ikkousha always has a bit of a wait on the weekend for a reason - it’s really good! The ramen dishes are entirely customizable, yet somehow comes out consistently each time, whether you’re visiting the location in Torrance, Costa Mesa, or Little Tokyo. The quality control is high here.
I always get the Godfire Ramen, level 4, light taste, soft or normal noodles, and it comes out perfectly each time. This is one of the best ramen I’ve ever had. Spice and flavor are amazing. Highly recommended.

I personally think Hakata Ikkousha is one of the better ramen spots around town. The ramen is consistently delicious, and I especially love their black sesame ramen. The service is friendly and efficient, making the dining experience enjoyable. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a comforting meal. Highly recommend for anyone craving top-notch ramen!

One of the best ramen spots I have been to. If you are a fan of Japanese ramen, this is your spot. I'd recommended the tonkotsu ramen as a gateway start before trying the other ramen bowls and the premium toppings. The gyoza and katsu pork are delicious. You can go during lunch time 12 to 3pm to get the specials that come with a side dish.

A delicious ramen shop that even foreigners line up.
The tonkotsu was bubbling.
A tonkotsu ramen shop with strong beliefs and quality.
I put all the toppings on top, but I thought it might have been better to put the toppings on a separate plate without sacrificing the quality of the ramen, so I recommend using a separate plate if you want to put the toppings on a separate plate.
I thought it was a waste.
I just lined up in the same line as I did the first time I went.
There is a machine at the entrance that issues reservation tickets, so start there.
Otherwise, you won't be called even if you wait.
be careful.
Wheelchair accessibility: There were some people eating in wheelchairs, so I think it's easy to come.
