I've eaten Yakiniku all over Japan and CA but I really like Manpuku the best!! Been dining here at the Torrance location for like 15 years. The protein quality to include beef, pork, chicken and seafood is always top notch but what's important to me are the side and rice dishes.......again consistently delicious and just as good as you'd find in any Tokyo BBQ joint's . My favorite side is the cold noodles called Reimen, Morioka style.......a refreshing and tangy end to a sumptuous feast, courtesy of the Manpuku back da house and brought to the grill by a very nice team of J-servers!!

I have been reflecting on our experience since we left the restaurant. While the food was good (not great) - the value was not there for me. We spent $226 (not including tip) and my partner returned home to make eggs and heat up leftovers. My take - you get very little for the price. In addition, I know it is Christmas but the service was very delayed perhaps because of the holiday and the restaurant was packed (with only one server). My suggestion would be to limit the number of reservations in order to improve the service and overall experience for customers. The value just doesn't match the cost to me.

Christmas Dinner at Manpuku is truly the best way to celebrate and end the year!! My two daughters and I really enjoyed this special night consisting of two orders of the Prime Beef Course plus additional Pork Belly with Sanchu Lettuce, Marinated Chicken Breast and Thighs, Tokyo Prime Beef Tongue, Assorted Mushrooms, Manpuku Salad and Garlic Cloves. I must say that the Prime Course is a super deal at $69 per person and the five cuts of beef plus shrimp are pure quality and tenderness!! Comes with Spicy Soup, Assorted Kimchee, Bean Sprouts, Cabbage Salad, Stone Pot Garlic Rice and dessert.....WOW!! And I washed it all down with four ATF brew Asahi Super Drys on tap!! Best of all, hats off and truly appreciate hard working Japanese gals Risa and Nasa plus the back of the house gang and dude manager-san for showing up on Christmas!!!

We've eaten here on special occasions for a few years and they never disappoint. For our sons birthday this year, they gave us one of the Tatami rooms, very nice. Everything we had was delicious. Highly recommend the Kobe filet.

Why is there no Japanese menu? I don't understand what it is even if I look at it in English.
Don't they want Japanese people to come?
If this happens, it will become a restaurant that Japanese people don't go to, like Gyu◯.

Have been to this place several times. The food quality is good as always but I must write this review for the sweet potato ice cream. It is so good!

Labor Day family yakiniku at Manpuku is all about really fantastic and delicious table top grilling plus great service. Just as good or better than what I've had in Japan or anywhere in the USA!! The qualities of the meats and seafoods are top shelf and the sides like Kimchee and Namuru are totally legit. The Prime Beef Course for $68 per person is a huge deal paired with my favorite Japanese brew, ice cold Asahi Super Dry to wash it all down. Our server Risa was on her A game and we rolled out totally stuffed and satisfied or in Japanese “Manpuku”!!!

Good food and ambiance, but took wait staff too long to fix our issue. We had a grill that wasn't working, and it took multiple wait staff to try and fix it. After it wasn't working for awhile I put my hand on the grill to show them it wasn't working. Even showing that and some additional persistence it took time for us to get a new table. Honestly we wasted a 30min for staff.

The ultimate Japanese BBQ meal. Everything is delicious! I especially enjoy the pork on lettuce wrap, rib eye, shrimp and asparagus. The service is excellent too. I recommend making a reservation.

Fourth of July celebration and table top grilling at Manpuku, Torrance!! What a feast with my two daughters. Two of us ordered the Prime Beef Course which is a great deal of outstanding tender cuts for under $70 while the other is non-beef and went with the chicken thigh and breast, assorted mushrooms, scallops and pork belly. Their Kimchee and Namul are the best sides I've ever had, even what I've tasted in Tokyo. For me washing down this spectacular meal with a pitcher of Asahi Super Dry is the ultimate experience and icing on the cake was great service by ATF veteran waitress Hiromi who has been at this location for over ten years!!

I ordered the wagyu set meal. The appetizers, roasted meat and staple dishes were all very popular. The final dessert, ice cream, was delicious. Conclusion: This is an ice cream shop that is delayed by roasted pork~

This place is amazing. We just got back from a 2 week trip to Tokyo and did not experience any restaurant that much better than this place right near our home in Torrance . A South Bay treasure. A bit expensive but great!

日本語表記の"国産"に騙されがち? よくよく考えたら、あ、ここはアメリカか。 て事は、アメリカ産の肉かと。 でも、美味しい?

I've been to Manpuku a handful of times, but I'm happy to say that my recent visit was the best. The service was quick and attentive, while the food was excellent and also came out very quickly. We opted to order items a-la-carte this time around and did not opt for the meal sets like we normally do, and we found that it was a better result for us. Our favorite picks: Tokyo short rib, pork cheek with yuzu, Manpuku salad!

5 stars! Everything about this restaurant is the best! The service was fast and efficient. The meat melted in our mouths. The quantity of food served was awesome! We highly recommend it! We ordered the beef tasting menu and couldn't be happier!
