Amazing and fantastic would describe our experience. The food was superb. The wagyu/uni appetizer was delicious. The quality of the wagyu and outside skirt steak made the dinner well worth it. We also loved the yuzu pork.
Over great but the host sucked. Waited way past reservation time, no where to sit meantime. Great food tho
Overall great experience and kid friendly. Great service and staff as well. Food was great!
Have us the table We wanted with lots of room to eat. Enjoyed all the fine quality meats, service, drinks, and desserts.
Hiromi always takes excellent care of us. And love the new items like the umami fried rice.
I must say the food was outstanding and the Kobe Beef Nigiri was my absolute favorite as it just melted in your mouth. They had a variety of meats and shrimp with a Omakase Menu ( Chef’s Choice ) with different cuts and variety and salad along with dessert. It was just really delightful and filled us pleasantly.

Get the corn appetizer! This is a true Japanese high-end BBQ experience. A party of 5 ordered a full range of meats from beef to pork and even tripe with sides of vegetables and salad. Everything was delicious.
Service was excellent as well, but can tell they all speak Japanese and I think are more comfortable around their Japanese diners. Bonus is pitchers of Sapporo are only $23!

If you are looking to experience Japanese BBQ at its best, go to Manpuku. The quality meat, vegetables, and other dishes offered is above anything else. Try the ribeye, short rib and rib cap cuts. The asparagus and lettuce wrap with pork is also very delicious. A small amount of dipping sauce, with a hint of fresh squeezed lemon is all you need, or nothing at all works just as well. Just go...!
Probably our favorite place in the entire south bay. really recommend the omakase wagyu for full experience. excellent service and staff.
Service was extremely slow - took 40+ minutes for the servers to bring out our noodles and soup (among other dishes) after multiple reminders

Very rude service. No one told us if there is any time limit and I believe there is none for the dining time limit but they rush to clean the table just because there are people waiting outside. As soon as the table are cleaned and while we were still talking and drinking water, we were asked to leave right away. We made reservations, we ordered 4 orders of premium omakase. We left 20% tips. However we will NEVER come back to a restaurant with this kind of ghetto service.
Service is really whatsoever. Nobody gives a shit and you need to chasing them for just adding some water to your empty cups. No dining time limit but a round face girl waitrrsd (Not our original serving waitress) just keep rushing with the desert even we haven't finished the dinner. After desert, she cleaned up the table right away and ask us to leave with a fake smiling face even we were still drinking water and talking. My son even had ice cream in his mouth Lol. After we got to the door, some people are waiting outside and I realized that they are rushing for next table's money. Since I already paid for the meal and the tips, I guess they are focus on one-time customer only. So I'm never go back to this place.
By the way the meat quality is just so-so compares to waygu from Japan. Regardless the service, the food compared to the price, It is an overrated restaurant.

Absolutely one of our favorite restaurants!! Food is top quality. The flavors are amazing.
It's always a great experience at this restaurant servers are friendly and helpful. Food is always delicious.
Great service... great food. We love this place! We have a son age 7 and they are so accommodating!
I've eaten Yakiniku all over Japan and CA but I really like Manpuku the best!! Been dining here at the Torrance location for like 15 years. The protein quality to include beef, pork, chicken and seafood is always top notch but what's important to me are the side and rice dishes.......again consistently delicious and just as good as you'd find in any Tokyo BBQ joint's . My favorite side is the cold noodles called Reimen, Morioka style.......a refreshing and tangy end to a sumptuous feast, courtesy of the Manpuku back da house and brought to the grill by a very nice team of J-servers!!
