The good: I got the bento with 3 entree choices (mixed tempura, pork cutlet and chicken teriyaki is what I chose) and a fried chicken and radish plate for $25 total. I was surprised by the really nice presentation and variety of foods in both meals. I liked how both came with pickled radish, seaweed and miso soup. I enjoyed the potato salad that came with the rice plate and the nicely garnished cucumber and tomato. The shredded lettuce was nice with the minced radish. The pork cutlet had a nice crunch and came with a packet of Japanese bbq sauce. Tempura included yam, squash, shrimp and green bean. I liked that there was indoor and lots of outdoor seating. We sat outside and enjoyed sunbathing. This spot is located inside the food court inside Mitsuwa Japanese supermarket. The entire meal was a great value and was made pretty quickly. The bad: The only item that seemed freshly cooked to order was the tempura. Parking spots are 1 hour only. The interesting: You get a buzzer that rings super loudly when rea

Had previously visited another food court place and had a great experience, so I wanted to venture and explore the rest of the locales. Bad, bad call! I understand this place is a food court but the food was completely tatesless. The tempura sauce was the absolute worst I have tried. The chicken cutlet was rubbery and hard. The teriyaki chicken was also rubbery, hard and the sauce was not very tasty. The miso soup tasted like I imagine sock water would taste...so sad because i was so hungry and really wanted to enjoy this place. Costumer service was pleasant and they even served us water but unfortunately I will not be back :(

DO NOT EAT HERE. We waited half an hour for mediocre food. Then the rude server tried to blame me for wondering where our food was.

Horrible service. Took 30 minutes to prepare our tasteless meal. Hostile servers. By the way, the five star reviews here are fake.

We waited 30 minutes for mediocre food. The oyako Don was dry. The soba dipping sauce was tasteless. The server yelled at me when I asked where our food was. AVOID

Their grilled mackerel plate is so worth it! Their fish is so fresh & soft. You also get rice & soup. I also like using their salad dressing for the cabbage & the fish! The workers are always friendly and helpful, and the food always comes out relatively quickly. Try this place next time you're at Mitsuwa!

Very tasty. I have this dish all over the place and I liked this one because it wasn't too much sauce and they were able to make it with less onions. The flavor was quite good. Pricing is really good - was only $8.75 - and a very hearty amount of food. I will definitely return.

The bento box are a really good value with tasty salad and soup. I especially love the vegetable that comes with the bento box that consist of lotus root, carrots, beans and konjac jelly ( not pictured here )! Zaru soba is equally awesome !

I love their food and prices. It's definitely one of the most affordable Japanese food options in the area. Their bento is my favorite and I always go for the tempura. The tempura is crispy and plentiful. Their other fried items are delicious too. The bento also comes with a simmered side dish, rice, and miso soup. The portion is very good despite the low price!

So glad I finally tried this place. Awesome tempura don! Great presentation too. Looked and tasted great. I will be back.

If you want authentic Japanese food on the cheap, the food court of Mitsuwa (several supermarkets in SoCal) is always a good option. Misasa at the Torrance location has several "donburi" and "bento" dishes that are good and reasonably priced. If you want higher quality, your only choice is a much more expensive full-service restaurant.

Today, I ordered to go takeout at this restaurant. The wafu hamburger plate and after waiting about 30 min did receive my food but it was for dining and NOT TAKEOUT as I ordered to the staff. This person upon hearing from me that I ordered take out and NOT EATING HERE gave me an attitude my stating"That Sucks" and even told the cook that this customer changed his mind and wanted to do a Take Out. I immediately confronted him and stressed that I did definitely say TAKE OUT and not DINE IN. He still gave me an attitude and did change it to Take Out order but again this really questions how a very UNPROFESSIONAL Staff- young guy can just express his own feelings toward the paying customers and did not even apologize. Therefore, I would strongly recommend that customers should avoid ordering from this eating establishment with this type of behavior or this young man should be disciplined for his action. Without customers this restaurant will have a difficult time to stay open and management should be more responsible with these types of complaint. Also, notice that this restaurant is closed from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. daily for lunch? Wow, compared to the other nearby restaurants they really have restrictions so again my recommendation is to avoid this restaurant until they get a more disciplined staff who is more professional. Very disappointing experience. Thank you

This is such a great option in you're craving some curry. Even though it's located in the middle of a food court, it taste like the quality of a full restaurant. The katsu is super crispy and the meat is still tender inside. The curry is a lot thicker than other curries I've had. My only complaint is that the katsu doesn't seem to be drained - so it was pretty oily still. Other than that it was a super filling meal at a very affordable price.
