Food was good. Service was ok. Took a while to get plates stocked and had to ask for chicken several times. 18% “gratuity” added is a rip off. It's not really a gratuity as the restaurant gets the -$s and the staff doesn't see it. Seems borderline at best. Left a bad taste in my mouth

The staff did not check in customers until well past the reservation time this was a huge inconvenience especially since our party had a hard cut off time. Also the gratuity/service charge was charged as an item on the bill and it was taxed. Usually when leaving gratuity or tip that amount isn't taxed.

They are taxing AFTER the service fee. This was outlawed by CA in 2018! This is illegal.

Our first time here. Staff was extremely friendly. We've all had hot pot/shabu-shabu before just not at this location. The food was good, but we all have had better. Not to knock this place though, it's still good! I love how there's Japanese curry with the pickled radish like ichibanya and you can add meatballs, or the meat you dip. Kids 4 and under eat free, and 5-i think 12 are 1/2 off. What I'm not use to was the service charge, 18%. I asked if that's what the tip was, and the employee said, yeah kinda. Typically, that's what you automatically get charged for parties 6 and more, which we normally pay 20% anyway. But to be forced to pay 18% regardless, i think is unfair. Esp since minimum wage has gone up, and prices per person has gone up, it isn't fair for the customer to be triple charged. On top of that, the receipt still asked for a tip. I don't think an establishment should stick their hand out so much, it's quite embarrassing to put the customer on the spot like that.

It was our second time going to MoMo's Paradise. The first time it was exquisite, we loved it! The second time we went, we wanted to take our daughter out for her birthday. One of our children have special needs. He has a G-tube, and he only eats via G-tube with formula. He does drink my mouth. We asked the waiter if we would have to pay for my son, even though he does not eat. He spoke to the manager and told us yes. We had to pay almost $50 dollars for my son just to drink soda. We've never had a problem like this before when heading out to a restaurant. It's just in the future we no longer will be able to attend the restaurant as a family. Lesson learned.

I made a reservation at 4:30 pm, but they didn't let me in even if I made a reservation. They were telling me their system was down and can't find my name and told me to wait another one hour. Very disappointed.

Momo-Paradise is a reliable and delicious place to have a filling and delicious lunch. Definitely make reservations even if it's mid-week and an off time to eat, they are always busy. I love that they also have beef curry to eat on the side.

Today was my first time trying this type of restaurant and it was amazing. Service was great, I waited about 5 mins to be seated upon my arrival. The quality of meat is amazing, I will definitely be going back.

We made it time for our reservation and the food was great. However, I'm taking one star off because we were held up by ladies filing a complaint in front of the line. That's not on you guys, but my fiance and I had to wait for like 6-7 minutes.

We had reservations, was there on time or a bit early. They seated other people before us and we waited over 10 mins past our reservation. It wasn't awful, just a bit disorganized. We love it though and will be back soon.

This place used to be one of my favorite places to go, but last few times has been disappointing. 1) it's freezing inside, make you shiver if you are just seating there a wait. Very unpleasant experience. Even after we asked them to shut off the AC it's no use. Still on. It's 50 degrees outside and inside is colder than outside. 2) I am usually a very generous tipper. But I get very put off when they put a 18% servece sharge and then ask you to tip on top of this. Tipping is voluntary and all depends on the service. I trip on the service, not tip Tax and service charges! I had a great service and I would have tipped her more than what they asking but that bill just give me a very bad taste. When things are voluntary then the restaurant should Homer that, but not impose on their customers. 3) they run out of meat that's supposed to be on the menu. It's a set price. If you want the customer to pay, then provide the food. If you don't have them, then give a discount. Right? No. They charge full price but then impose a 18% service fee and then ask you to add more tip! One word: GREEDY!

The quality of the cuts were fantastic. The self serving vegetable table has plenty of veggies and tofus. The curry rice was phenomenal. The service was great. Definitely a must visit for anyone looking for quality shabu at reasonable price.
