I've only picked up their food as takeout twice, so I can't really speak to the atmosphere other than saying it feels welcoming: the restaurant is located in Vista Montana proper, and doesn't have a parking area immediately in front or behind -- but this place is worth it. Found a few doors down from Mongol King, there is a small set of steps and a wheelchair ramp up from the sidewalk that get you right in the door.
I've been tasting my way through their appetizers, and haven't found a miss yet -- today, it was their fried tofu and the entire order was delightfully crisp and still pleasantly chewy inside. I also got their tom yum soup for the second time; theirs is rapidly becoming my favorite version jn the area since Thai Thani closed. Word of warning, this kitchen very much understands Thai hot seasoning -- I picked medium last time since I like spice, and it cleared my sinuses for me. Today I went mild, and got pleasant heat along with a very flavorful soup.
Their Thai iced tea -- both original and green -- is SWEET without being actively cloying. I also love their fried bananas, which are gently mashed banana wrapped in a wonton wrapper and fried, upping the banana's sweetness and giving a really nice crunch to the dessert. I wish it was offered without the ice cream too, but that means whomever I'm eating with gets a generous helping of coconut ice cream.

Point is, I'm a fan after only 2 visits. This place is definitely worth giving a try, and going back for more.

Drove by and finally tried this restaurant. Very small and quaint establishment. Friendly service and good food. Pad thai was tasty. Beef salad was tasty as well.
Also in this crazy time of high inflation this establishment is reasonable.

I decided to give Spice and Spoon a try since it’s a Thai restaurant and I was excited to see vegan options on the menu. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The tofu was hard and rubbery, and the Pad See Ew came with bok choy and spinach instead of the traditional broccoli. The dish also lacked flavor overall. Sadly, I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

Delicious Thai food and exceptional service. It has becoming our to go place without a doubt for Thai food. Quality and price are always great. Kind service when we made a mistake on our order. We’ve never been disappointed.

It’s great to have a new Thai place in South Torrance. Friendly service and the food is great. Recommend the tom kar soup, chicken satay and red curry. You must have a fresh coconut to wash it all down!

The food wasn’t great. I ordered Pad See Ew and instead of broccoli it came with spinach (or maybe it was bokchoy). The chicken tasted gamey.
They serve your hot food in plastic containers, which you will pickup at the counter, with plastic utensils. For a sit down place, who wants to eat their food in a plastic containers?
