This restaurant has changed owners once or twice over the years we've been going there but their menu hasn't changed and I've always been pleased with their food.Their service isn't anything to brag about. Cold, slow, not attentive, seemingly not appreciative. But for the good food I would not go there because the service exudes "We could care less about you."Instill recommend this restaurant and maybe others will have different (hopefully better) experiences with the waiters. I've been a customer of this location for about 14 years.I typically order the Tokyo platter which has all my favorites and is not too filling. The parking lot for the restaurant is not huge but I've never had a problem parking. I say go an enjoy the food, relax, don't be in a hurry and you'll be fine.

Food was normal. Sushi in place was kinda frozen and not really fresh.. Service is so so as well. We came in the early morning so it was not too busy for us to rate the service quality.

For $9 you can order a SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL which is rice, lettuce, cucumber and shrimp tempura rolled into a seaweed. The server told me that I should have ordered the TEMPURA ROLL if I wanted what 99.9% of restaurants call shrimp tempura roll with shrimp tempura, avocado, crab etc... WHAT A JOKE AND A WASTE OF MY LUNCH HOUR AND MONEY! she didn't even offer to fix it!

They have some great lunch specials. I enjoyed my sushi. My kids loved it! Particularly the teriyaki chicken. Nice friendly server as well.

This is third time since new management that there have been issues with this place. First off, the sushi quality has gone down. The albacore on the Osaka smelled and tasted rotten I hate to say. This has happened twice already with the albacore and once with another type of fish. After eating, my stomach felt weird all 3 times. I never had issues before. In ordering to go, the order was wrong and they constantly forget to include things like dressings for the salad and wasabi even when it was them that had asked me if I wanted it. When dining inside the other day, the waitress never brought us our drinks and everything took forever. I hate to complain, but this is not the Sushimon we are used to. What a shame. I will not be eating here again for fear of getting sick.

We used to love this place, years ago. Earlier this week I placed a take-out order and was unimpressed. I ordered a platter and discovered a fly trapped inside, yuck. It was either eat it or toss $40 worth of sushi, so we bit the bullet and ate it, tossing the piece upon which I'd discovered the fly. (We didn't have time to go back and have an entirely new one made.) Adding to that, the fish was, unfortunately, not of the best quality. All of the cucumber roll pieces were coming apart, besides. I'd additionally ordered a tuna roll but they gave me some other kind of tuna roll with cucumber and lettuce. It was good, just pricier and not what I ordered. And the pieces were not cut all the way through so we had to tear them apart. The spicy tuna roll was visually unappealing, although it tasted good. Although the service was friendly and price decent, it's doubtful I'll be back again - and this is hugely disappointing because it used to be a favorite little spot for take-away. There are too many great spots in Torrance to bother with sub-par sushi.

Don't sleep on Sushimon. I'm always looking for a good deal with sushi getting more and more expensive. In my opinion, Sushimon has the best tasting value sushi in the South Bay. I was shocked at the low prices. Most people usually order takeout or to-go, but I decided to sit down and enjoy dinner. The girl on duty was incredibly kind and offered me some free miso soup with my meal. Udon - very flavorful broth with a good amount of noodles, no meat though Sushi - wow, I will never go out of my way to order a CA roll, but it was a very large piece with a generous amount of crab, very delicious. The nigiri was also very solid. Sushimon has been around since I was a little kid, and I haven't been since, but this short dinner trip has shown me that I will be here a lot more often.
I usually grab the platters to bring home for family get togethers. We all love them. Also recently went in for the lunch special. Quick sushi lunch for $8. You can't beat that.

We've orders here for almost the past 15 years Food still taste just as great even with the new ownership... although the only thing that's been bugging me is the past 6-8 times we've ordered from here they never cut the rolls all the way.... Especially the spicy tuna roll!!! It's just one big rolls connected still they are all stuck together at the bottom of the seaweed.. can you please sharpen your knife ??? Or at least cut the roll all the way to the bottom so each individual piece separates We just ordered food right now so I'm curious to see how it comes... will be leaving another review when it arrives ! Also I ordered one time for take out and they said 30mins ... I went and waited inside for over an hour they mistakenly gave my food to another customer so I waited very long Before in the past when Connie owned the place if they said 20mins it would be 20minutes And if you waited more than 5mins past your original time they would show love They would be very comforting and offer you a seat at the bar and give you a cup of soup while you waited... just some food for thought lol Little stuff like that goes a long way Especially when it's not your fault Anyways your food still taste great Just little improvements you guys need to work on But I know you got it
